I have 3 generations of Blaupunkt Berlin Radios with Gooseneck Tunners from the 1970s and early 80s'. This is the high end radios that Blaupunkt Produced. 2 of the newer ones are US spec, while the oldest is Euro spec (104fm). All work perfect, including cassette!!

    1. Blaupunkt Berlin 1980-1983. Innovative Technology, like automatic volume control and noise suppressant if for example you open the window while driving. Original price tag $1,395 in 1980. The best you can buy at the time

Comes with: cassette deck, gooseneck tunner, internal connecting amp, external 80 w blaupunkt amp

Mike, I had the same stalk equalizer, customized to come through my dash in place of the lighter...in my '66 restomod 911 back in the day. So cool. I like the blue interior Scorpion! Hope you good amigo.

The Berlin was very common, if not standard equipment? In Maserati's Khamsin, pretty sure Aston Martin featured them as standard on certain cars at one point?

I bought a NOS Berlin in the early '90s to install in my '75 Aston-Martin which I was restoring to original factory specs.

    Standard?
I beg to differ. Berlin was the high end radio option from the blaupunkt line up.

Beq-60 equaliser is very cool. Perfect match to the berlin

Note; the comment was made with question marks as if to say 'maybe' this was the case. Was counting on you experts to confirm - cool radio's, GLWS.

    Gotcha,
At $1,395 in 1980 it was a high end upgrade option.

I think most 1970s standard option for luxuriory european cars came with either a mercedes common Becker Europa radio and its variants. Or the Blaupunkt Frankfurt and similar single shaft style units.

Porsche gave the 930 owners a Blaupunkt Bamberg (will be listing here as well) as a factory upgrade option, startingin themid 1970s. The Berlin was exactly the same radio as the Bamberg, except it had a gooseneck tunner stalk, where as the bamberg had the cassette deck and radio tunner build into one unit.

Below is late 1970s bamberg radio. (Similar to my berlin # 2)

All radios that I have listed above have sold.

I do have another blaupuntk Berlin but cant power it on, think the amp is broken.

also have other 80s Blaupunkt radios and equalisers like the BEQ 60 and 65
