My turn signals both inexplicably stopped working yesterday. Long hold, short hold, left or right, I get absolutely nothing. The hazard/emergency button and lights work fine, just no turn indicators. It's not the kind of problem I want to take the car into the shop for, so I was hoping folks here had some ideas.

I had the same thing. It was a broken flexible PCB in the steering wheel. Had to wait for a part from Italy.

Anyone know what I should expect to pay for parts and labor to have this fixed?

Car isn't under warranty anymore, though I don't believe this kind of issue is even covered with the typical power warranty.

No idea, but you are correct that it's not covered by the power warranty.

Let us know what it ends up costing - good to add to the knowledge-base.

I've no idea. That's what I was told by the dealer so it really could have been anything.

Before you go any further, I would check the fuses. Your hazards/lights could work OK and turn signals not function because the turn signals should be on a separate circuit as they need to be powered all the time, vs. turn signals which are key-on only.

Just as randomly as the signals stopped working, they started working again this week. I've driven the car quite a few times since I started this thread and tried the signals at least once during every drive. Then, as of Sunday, they started working.

    Very strange.

My 2013 has been doing this as well. I brought it to the dealership while they were doing an inspection on the car and it worked that morning of. I picked it up and it stopped working.

I actually had a theory and maybe you can test it if yours aren't working right now. Can you try turning the steering wheel all the way left, then all the way right?

My thinking is the trigger to automatically turn off the turn signals in the steering wheel is getting stuck sometimes.

    Hey guys -

I'm resurrecting this thread. I just purchased a 2013 Spider and today, my turn signals stopped working. All other functions are normal (i.e. hazards work, lights, etc.). Wondering what if anything has been found out. Thanks for the help.

Keep us informed please Toni since we still did not get the results from other (same) problems

Did you check the fuse ? Would it be # F-49 ?

"Hazard warning lights" ... or is there another fuse for warning lights anywhere ?

It could be but all of the items for that particular fuse location work. Looking through the manual it lists nothing for the turn signals. Strange.

Just as an FYI...The dealer said that the NVO Node in the steering wheel is bad. As RipVega had said, it is a PCB in the steering wheel whcih controls the turn signals. The mechanic hooked up the diagnostic tool and was able to see that the NVO Node would not change state when the turn signal button was activated, therefore the node is not functioning properly. The cost for the part is $1300 and FNA does not have it so, it has to come from Italy.

    Hope this helps.

The fault was easy to detect (which is good). I'll try and get pics so everyone can see exactly what the part is. I hope the part comes in quickly!
