Forget LaFerrari, have you seen the new Pininfarina show car "Sergio"? Check out CarDesignNews.com Jeff
Like it or love it I still fail to see how many people think the F70 is even remotely derivative of the P4/5? Your own graphic analysis CLEARLY shows the lack of significant influence. To me they are as different as night and day. One being a progression of Ferraris form and design language the other being a beautifully executed retro themed design. The constant assertion by many that any design after the P4/5 is but a mere copy of the same owing its styling to a retro-themed car is borderline ignorant and insulting. Sometimes pride in ones's accomplishments, which is a good thing, can become all-consuming and obscure the truth in a dark fog of hubris. Spoken like a true professional! One day I'd love to buy you a beer andr delve deeper into ths subject off the record.
No doubt! Great design! I am in the group that thinks there isn't as much P4/5 influence as much as a natural progression. The p4/5 was designed 3 years after the Enzo, and the LF was designed 6 years further. A lot is learned over a time period like this.

nice! i do like the Sergio design, it's classic Italian, in that it's futuristic, yet somehow it could have been on display in the 1970's too i've been trying to find the image mentioned prior, that similar to the Sergio design concept, i havent found the one i was specifically thinking of, but a few others here i came across in my search Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
people forget with these images of student concepts, that those students end up in house of automotive design studios at some point, and so it's highly probable that something they used or created when a student, could end up as a concept car made at the place they now work at!? here is the other image that's similar too ...still not the one was thinking of though (and Sergio image above it) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's an interesting mid-engine coupe with at least some "Dinoness"/"Ferrariness to it. I've seen these and other images of this design on other forums, where it's been received with a good deal of enthusiasm. Any thoughts? Personally, I really like it. not bad very clean & straightforward not the 'newest' thing we've seen lately (Lambo Veneno!) but overall,a good effort IMHO
the NSX, this one got overshadowed by the Laf and other designs present at geneva, i think acura/honda could do better, they have the engineering skills, but it's playing a safer bet in this design (which isnt necessarily a bbad thing) ...no doubt they will sell lots!
