Harry, What car is DR 39 20, please? Thank you, and all others, for sharing these fantastic photographs. Roger
http://www.***************.com/coachbuilder/62/Vignale.html gives you pics and specs of 18 different Ferraris bodied by Vignale. (mostly the usual suspects though) on the ****** you have to put "carpageultimate" in a slightly different order.
Hello Roger, I have it listed as a Ferrari 212 Vignale. I am not very much into chassisnumbers, so I do not have that. But I can see the car is still registered in the Netherlands : First registration : 30-06-1954 (30-06 is a default I guess for imported cars) First Dutch registration : 09-10-1997 Last registered : 31-12-1998 So since 1998 in the same ownership.
And thanks to Tom for the chasisnumber!! (so the car is from 1952? RDW says 1954, but they make more mistakes)

The bw photo bottom right (post #211) with Italian opera star Anna Magnani shows chassis #0181 EL (195 Inter). The pic is from the 1951, the 1974 and the 1989 Factory Yearbook. No connection to 0157 EL (212 Inter). Marcel Massini
Earlier this year I started a Vignale-thread in Showroom. There are more photos here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200245&highlight=vignale

Stunning indeed. I first learned of 0197 through a feature story in Supercar Classics when she was still with DN when he was still in the UK. May well have been authored by DCN for all I know. What a great example of Vignale's excellence in design served well by the two-tone non-Rosso paint scheme.
Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, executed by Carrozzeria Alfredo Vignale. Too bad 0197 EL today no longer has its original engine and is fitted with a restamped engine. No doubt a fabulous car. Marcel Massini
Michiel Mobiel, restamped engine found in USA???....... No, ORIGINAL engine found and reunited ciao Cornelis
