A tad bit late, but here is an album I put together from the last event that I thought you guys would enjoy: https://www.flickr.com/photos/118160644@N04/albums/72157657281803228 This was my first Cars and Cappuccinos event. I had a great time and hope to attend many more in the future! Oh, and that 918 was incredible!

A few pics from today. Had around 50 cars with some really neat new attendees. Had a smattering of Italians, with a blue 458 and the Dino GT being the highlight for me. ; ). Quick update. Based on the Facebook page sign-ups and warm weather forecast, tomorrow's turn out looks to be "big" by our standards. Probably 50 to 60 European sports cars. The main strip will likely fill up quickly and then we start parking around back and on the edges. I suggest you get there early if you want a spot on the main drag. And I was in contact with an editor from Jalopnik this past week. No guarantees, but he said he would likely be in attendance. Regardless, I look forward to seeing a good representation of the fine automobiles from Maranello, Sant'Agata Bolognese and Turin. ; )
So last month's turn out was a record. We had 80+ cars and it was a lot of fun. I am including a link to video a local tuner shop (Eurowise) created of the event. Not my choice in music, but no one asked me. ; ) Still a cool video though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaUppzNapeQ Would be great to have a few more Italians on hand. This Sunday is the 3rd Sunday of April, so it is Cars and Cappuccino day! This month Scott Jaguar will be showcasing a couple F-types, hence their logo on this month's announcement. Fun event today. We had around 50ish cars. Mike's absolutely gorgeous '67 Miura made the trek down to Southpark. Scott Jaguar brought a European pre-production version of the new Jaguar SUV. They had to trailer it to the event as it is not authorized on US roads just yet. : ) Interestingly it will be available in a diesel model. This one was a supercharged 6 (I think). Also, I think we had the majority of Lotus owners in Charlotte gathered here today. 5 at one point, with another known Elan owner in attendance in his daily driver. So I have been a little remiss in keeping this thread updated. The past 2 months have been pretty busy for me as I continue to work on my lightweight Porsche 911 RSR/ST tribute project. Anyhow, here are few pics fro last month. Really nice turn out, with some really cool variety. We had 2 Nobles, a flock of Louses, plenty of Porsche's, vintage BMW's, modern Audi's and a Miura, Countach and a few Ferrari's all making out. The best might of have been the 4500 original mile flying mirror TR. Really, really nice to see it on the road. SO August is at the usual spot on Sunday August 21st @ 9:00 AM. Hope to see some of you there. Cars & Cappuccino Gathering ? Hi all, The recent passing of my father has kept me away from updating this thread the last couple months, but the event has been occurring regularly. Hope to see some Maranello beauties on 11/20. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry about your loss - condolences to you & your family. This is a fantastic event for those mainly interested in the European Only cars, with a great location and much more manageable venue.
sorry to hear about your Father. I have been out of the scene for the last year but hope to bring the Lambo out next year again. This is always a nice event.
Hey..Russell. Good to see your post. I had figured you had set up shop in the South of Spain by now. ; ) On a related and sad note I feel compelled to mention that there is unfortunately, another passing in our community. Rene Eric Vonwiller passed away this month too. Eric was 59 and a super upbeat guy. Despite his ultimately futile batter with cancer, he was indulging in his passion for European sports cars right up to the end. He had acquired a Lotus Europa about a month prior to his passing and brought it out to his last C&C event. Here is a pic of him with his Noble and he is also in a picture this thread seated behind the same car. He will be missed as will my father. Image Unavailable, Please Login
