I will use lusso for semi daily. argento nurburgring or nero daytona. Silver will be easy to keep. Black is well, black. Nothing is better than shiny black for big cars for my eye. I am debating between the two colors because I dont want attentions. Will cover the whole car with paint protection film. What should I do.....
If minimizing attention is the aim, then no shields as mentioned is the way to go IMO. The pics of the Lusso I've seen here are quite nice without shields given the right color choice. Nero is a lotta work to keep clean, if you're going to drive it a lot, I'd go after one of the many excellent Ferrari silver/grays - cana di fucilli (not sure about the spelling), silverstone, nurburgring, Ingrid, etc. T
FF in AN, no shields, should give you a general gist of what a Lusso in the same color might be like. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/646984690/overview?aff=share_text GS no shields... https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/705426056/overview?aff=share_text Pozzi no shields... https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/702912449/overview?aff=share_text Nero no shields... https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/709303990/overview?aff=share_text I think you're in win-win territory whatever direction you go! Best of luck in your search. T
Sounds like you want black. Do what you like, with no shields you're good in any color. Argento is not less obvious, just less serious. Nero Daytona is a good color on any Ferrari, on this car it hides the plastics well.
i saw a grigio titanio FF with yellow calipers an shields parked at the train station - it was NOT subtle. stuck out big time fwiw
Ever thought of Canna di Fucile aka "gun metal grey"? F12KID's GTC4Lusso in CdF without shields //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170725/7361b0a9d2f5b32354ad00d56d505028.jpg
If I could afford to order a new one, which I can't currently, I'd go with something different like Verde Pino, Verde Mugello or possibly Rubino Micalizzato. I'm trying to find a nice FF in the UK, we don't have many cars here to start with (circa 200) but most on sale are variations of monochrome with some pretty funky interior colours. We get the odd Blue TDF pop up for sale and the usual reds, but nothing nice. With all the beautiful colours available why be dull?
I have a black GTC, it hides the size and is very classy but not striking. Also hides the Pano roof and body carbon. Which is bad. I have an early 812 so did not want the wait or 15k. Unlimited budget and no rush I would have had Bianco Fuji so AN similar, would work well.
I think much of this comes down to mindset. You seem to change cars reasonably regularly so I guess you're buying with one eye on the list price and one eye on reselling. I'd be buying something for me which I would intend to keep for sometime/forever so I'd be less concerned about how colour or spec would effect resale.
A Lusso from the 70 run in Stockholm. I saw one i TdF but the picture was not very good. It loks spectacularly good, though Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have keepers - LT 575 and 812, but yes turn other stuff depending on range of factors. He Mac 675 LT enjoyed 4 months free motoring then out. I won't pay for tri strato on non keepers.
My FF is Nero Daytona with shield and CF wheel caps. > I fly under the radar most of the time. I find the Lusso to be better looking in black than argento. Ordered my Lusso in Grigio Ferro: looks significantly better on a full size car, especially on the Lusso, than on the color palette sample.
Ah...So much thanks to comments!!!! Here is AN. I am still debating....but ND has more vote... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love AN. Just feel like it is not the grey which works best with lussos. ND looks better on the Lusso than FF.
