And Lee got a couple of 25ths, 12648 is the most prominent, built specially for him with a silver one-off interior. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And within 12 months the now-legendary designer had re-designed the entire exterior of the Countach with aerodynamic function being the prominent focus. Composite material was used on the engine bay cover, spats, sills & bumpers. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tons of period press images of the 25th exist, most of which we have seen before, but another review is always welcome! I think the 25th got lost in the media because the Diablo was nigh soon thereafter. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The overall ration was changed, this is the shaft and the gears: http://www.countach.ch/Gearbox/16042009.jpg I found this when I had to fix that shaft, lamborghini can only provide the shorter gears no more the original QV gears.
This man tells me the 25th Anniversario is a great Countach to drive. They all are great in different ways, the 25th's interior appointments making the difference if the car is driven a lot. About a dozen years ago I had a 25th and the seats bothered me. But I must confess I never took the time to learn the seat adjustment range, and besides having lost 20lbs since those days I find they are super-comfortable now. I think you have to give the car a chance and then it dawns upon you how great it is. Also, many who speak of the 25th have no ownership experience of it. Ventilation in the 25th is the same digital unit carried over from the 1988 cars. I'm told its better but haven't had a chance to compare it with the earlier cars. Anyone know? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Side-marker hole (quarter-size) with 2 screw-holes either side in rear flank. I'm sorry the repro of some of the original images is lost on my scanner! Bianco. Speaking of Bianco, an early 25th in Bianco went to the land of the rising sun and with some slight mods was put on the track by Art Sports. Same car was further modified and became the famed #88 yellow 25th in their GT race series. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I forgot about that, yes indeed, you are correct. I just looked at the image again and it could very well be Bianco Perlato, I'm not sure, hard to tell in that poor lighting.
We have all seen the Press Flyer before, but it belongs here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So given the car you posted is an 1988 Build car, I am curious as to the lowest known serial number or the first production car vin?
Yes, this is my understanding too. The ones I have tested actually worked as well as any normal car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think your car has a special as yet unconfirmed history. Have you asked Valentino about the chassis number? Here is a special 25th for occasions when the Aventador isn't old skool enough. And, no, he is not going to crash it! Image Unavailable, Please Login
