They are shown in the parts manual with 6mm studs inserted to mount "P" clamps that hold some sort of smog related tubing.

Unfortunately I cannot circle them, however the stubs are located on both the far left and right cam covers at the top of each in the following photo. The right set appear to be masked off.

Yes thanks Mike. I have never seen those on a Countach engine before. What are they for and are they original for this particular car?

Looking at the openings for the tail lights, do I see white paint? Was this car white originally?

En regardant les ouvertures pour les feux arrière, je vois la peinture blanche ? Etait-ce l'origine voiture blanche ?

Returning the car to white would be classic but so much more work I know!

The green-blueish box next to the Magnetti-Marelli Ignition box is the control unit for the smog pump, I think this one you can remove completely together with the smog pump and connectors to the headers.
Since you have the headers removed you can weld the connectors at the headers.

I had to close one since it broke away, the others I closed with special nuts: http://www.countach.ch/HeadGasket/Step12/P1020168.jpg

That black car is told to be a QV from 1986 not a LP5000S (1983-1985).

BTW your car has the swiss extensions, are you sure it went directly to france?
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1177279&stc=1&d=1281189882
The metal shield surround the engine mounts had only the swiss car because of the stricter noise laws, all other cars had the tubular frame open.
Also only the swiss cars in europe had the smog pump to fulfill the stricter emissions levels (same as california) with 100 ppm HC (the smog pump injects air into the header to burn the HC).

I think you should ask for more information from the factory with then VIN of your car.
Try this member he might be able to help: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/member.php?u=12815

    hi ,
for 2NA , yes its a 206GT 1968 year , with little particular , she have same "essui glace" of dino 206S , command by sub-pressur air motor .
For santiago , ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh vous aussi , jocke

FOR RAYMOND , you write "That black car is told to be a QV from 1986 not a LP5000S (1983-1985)."

i dont understand , but many think say you are perahps right , because on my "carte grise" , the first run is 1986 and horse power 32 !!!!!!!
but the motor is truth 5000S , can you confirm that for me , and for is first color .
That i know its MOBUTU its first owners , yes they are pump exhaust , but i disconnect all .
Raymond , where you buy your aluminium protector in compartiment engine ?

How can give me story of my car ?

    thanks all .

You can buy the insulation stuff from summitracing.com in US or where you got the insulation for the header you already did.
I don't know if you can get it directly from the supplier, I used also the line insulation for the fuel lines: http://www.designengineering.com/catalog/design-engineering-inc

for the history of your car, send am private message to the member I linked, he might help.
I'm interested too to know if it was originally a swiss car since I have the swiss registry and quite a few cars are still missing. I wouldn't be surprised if Mobutu bought the car in Switzerland with some money he transfered out of his country...

The car for sale on that page was obviusly a QV model, it says 1986, 5167ccm and 455hp, but perhaps Ciclet used a picture of your car.

hi raymond , thanks for your precision , may be you are right when you say mobutu can buyed this car in suisse , but she travel many in 1986 years : italia/suisse/zaire/france/reunion ,hummmmmmmmmmmmm its too much , because the last owners in reunion receved this countach 14 nov 1986 .
can you find in your register my serial number ZA9C00500ELA12761 , and say me if its 5000S or QV (the motor was change ? ) , another ? the front wheel are 205 , no 225 same QV .
yesterday i ask the member you say me , if i can loock the complete story of my car , and i ask also m CICLET that i knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ;" nous avans les moyens de vous faire parler " jocke .

good night for you for my the sun beging up . today i finish clean the front caliper and i try clean also cylinder clucht , where i must drop the nuts ? in the car under the sterring wheel ?

    thanks all
