    Big work!

Good luck and pay attention to aluminium oxide holes: a simple respray will not fix them for a long time.

Fortunatley the alloy is in pretty good shape just some minor corrosion round the bertone badge which will blast out with walnut shells to make sure it has gone.

Work is progressing nicely now, but as the roof is in such bad shape we have decided to make a new one. I would be grateful if someone could provide a template down the centre line of the roof across and along the car so we get the curvature right.

Does anyone also have some pictures of the battery tray hook arrnagent? It seems we have the clips and battery bar but it seems we may be missing some loops.

The interior has been removed to make sure there is no chance of damage whilst the roof is cut-out and this also gives us the opportunity to sort out the side panels with the correct speakers and leather perforations (rather than the current speakers over the top).

Seems you are doing a great job! Is the engine and transmission still in the car? If yes, now would be a good time for an engine out - that way you could detail the engine bay and motor (which probably requires it when it wil be compared to the rest of your car) and do a valve check .... go the extra mile IMO.

I suppose with all the filler removed it will be some pound lighter...

Yes is should be lighter probably by about 10kg the amount of rubbish that has come out. Al has worked wonders getting it back into shape, the front end is now really good with perfect headlamp pod gaps and alignment.

Nice work, post pictures from what you have and what you need to know.
Did you get information about front spoiler underplate and how it should be? There are no boxes under both radiators, both are suported only with secondary frame supports, those slopes are only to dirrect air to them. I notice you found my pictures from "that other Lamborghini site".

Simon, had that green rubber tube changed while roof is out, afteward it is near impossible and it bleeds air from right side radiator, so I would use copper or brass tube with proper tube-ends to reinstall hose back.

Original Lamborghini style fitting is to feed that smaler surgical rubertube inside larger rubertube, next to rear window, atleast I found that little odd...

Yes I 'borrowed' your image, the tray Al made is fine, we managed to get the ramps from Eurospares so now is the same as OE. We have also figures out the battery tray as it seems the loops that hook over and are tensioned by the clamps were lost. Really appreciate the advice about the tube, will get that replaced whilst it is in GTS mode!

Joe, Al saved me a small momento from the strip down a 6" square of about 3/4" thick filler!

Do you know what the wiring is that is now exposed with the roof off?

I found a way to post the file - (uploaded as a GDB - whatever that is) rename the file extension to SKP , and then download google sketchup ( this was drawn in v6 ) . This is a free program. Drawn to 1:1 as measurements.
    Regards .
