I just spoke to him as I know him also and he doesn't seem to object. He was just surprised. It's a magnificent car and probably one of the best LP400's out there. Ron
LOL. I also just spoke to him not 3 mins ago. Loves his car, loved bringing it to Concorso and loves that its out there. He wasnt surprised at all that images were taken of it and posted because he was at a PUBLIC show. Yes its one of the best, and I appraised him that I thought it was very valuable indeed... left hand drive, amazingly original, red, full history - it certainly is a piece of Lamborghini history. Clayton is a gentleman and a very knowledgeable collector. ROn
Now you have to have permission to post pictures of cars shown in public? Next time I have my car in public and someone takes a picture I'll sick my attorney on 'em to make sure they don't post it. The times they are a loopy.
to be fair here ron, a car on display at a show is subject to being photographed. the owner has no say over where those photos end up, unless he or she holds the copyright on said pictures.
Hi all Countach spotters, Last week we had another small Lamborghini meeting here in Holland. This red Countach has the non european injection engine hood, so the car could have come from the USA. Youre welcome. Its what do. BTW, Ive seen that red USA QV all over Europe. Last saw him filling up at a petrol station in downtown San Moritz, Switzerland! He does drive it! Joe www.joesackey.com
Here are some of my shots of the Production prototype Countach from Concorso, it was great to finally see her, a real special moment for me, i was even lucky enough to get to sit in her! Yes, he was there, he's the president of the Lamborghini Club Nederland. But this is a LP400 thread I noticed, so a little of topic, sorry. Marcel
Hey Alan, (you lucky bastard ;-) Great shots, I like the lower taken ones! Funny to see that the scripts Countach and Lamborghini at the back are the other way around. Unbelievable that Raymond discovered this car in Switserland.. THE barnfind of the century!! The car was also shown at the Techno Classica show in Essen, Germany, March 2007 Ciao! The ugly wing (no respect to Bertone's design) probably slowed him down so much that he ordered a Cinque Litri motori for #1120148 I think that second car is worth more by the way.. So do we agree that #1120006 was the first Walter Wolf LP400, #1120148 the second, and #1120202 the third? Ciao! Marcello
That looks like #1120110. What's the story with the gaugles? Are all US imported LP400's have these? BR, Marcello
Even the proto Bertone badges on the sides are in place. Exhaust pipes seem to be (too) high in the air. Bling bling mirrors. Vomit green, yikes What is the chassisnumber of this LP400? Best regards, Marcello
Just 4 fun, Here's a picture of I think #1120064, leaving the factory gates ones more. Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is 1120192 not 110. BTW I dont speak Japanese and unfortunately I dont know the chassis number of the lime green RHD LP400.... Joe www.joesackey.com
Nice! Could you correct that on Glen's registry please? It's kinda confusing this way. Best regards, Marcel
Ah yes, I simply looked for the plates "Y 55" in my files, #110 had them as well in the past. Thanks! Can't be that difficult if it's a RHD, I will try to answer that question later. Best regards, Marcel
i know - and (imo) it looked ten times better. i heard it was resprayed green so it looked like the factory had more cars at its disposal than was the case.
