Long but wicked day. I'm just in and completely dead to the world. Fab cars, venues and owners. Quick taster. More to come ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excellent Rob. Not enough early Lambo shows. And being involved with the annual event that I am.....I'm usually dead to the world for the following week. I get it!
Some dashcam video that Jonathan and Pete (Black 88½) took of the parade laps around Rockingham. Our "plucky" photographer, Dan Pluck is seen hanging on for dear life in the back of the pickup. Not much health and saftey in that respect. I can't wait to see his pictures! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m7LT1FfdwQ[/ame]
Hi Peter, you know the score! Lot of effort and chasing. But so very worth it. The day went off very well. No drama this year. All the cars behaved and was great to get some track action in. Will make for some great pictures which we'll post up when Dan has processed. Cheers Rob
So very worth it. Organizing events is a job by itself and I learned this when we organized the Miura Reunion in 2000 and the 288 GTO Reunion in 2009. I bet it was one of the funnest things any of you have done with your cars. Those cars together cut a stunning sight, nothing matches the sight of a herd of Raging Countach Bulls for sheer drama! Congratulations, and I too can't wait to see Dan's images.
WOW. This is the coolest Countach video I have ever seen. The sight & crackling sound of all those Countachs! Unbelievable. I hate to state the obvious, but it looks to me like what transpired was a Downdraft Reunion! I'll post the video in the Downdraft thread also.
Wow yeah that was great to watch. It`s so surreal seeing more than one Countach at once! They look and sound amazing whether they`re going fast or slow. I used to go and watch the supercar days at Castle Combe and Goodwood in the late 80`s and early 90`s when I was little (well littler) just to see the Countach`s. It was better than going to a theme park seeing them and every other cool car you could think of just being used like it was a day out karting! Nearly got a ride in a QV at Goodwood once but it came off the track just before my turn. Was the best way to spend a bank holiday ever though! Dom.
Harry M also had a rear mounted cam on his car, so I'm like an expectant father waiting to see what he produced from the track. I think he also did a video at the lunch, which no doubt will be up on his Youtube stream soon. I've watched it a few times, I'm loving it. Would we have liked a bit more speed, yes but it was a great experience. To be swapping in and out with other CT's was fantastic. A memory I shall cherish for a long time. You're right Joe, it morphed into a DD meeting. Not by design. Problem. How do I exceed this for the next event ? Thinking caps on!! R
Yes, amazing to be in convoy and on track with the other cars. The passion the owners have for these cars is incredible. Talking with them, no one has ANY intention of ever selling their car. I don't blame them, I won't sell mine until I can no longer get out of it. Getting in is easy. Just fall through the door :-0 R
The view from car 6 of 7, as we barrelled into another roundabout. Thanks for a fantastic day, Rob - and, of course, all the other owners and their guests. Great cars and great company. Can't wait until next year. JB Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wouldve loved to have gone faster (at point I was in neutral as I couldnt go that slow without riding the clutch!), I wonder if we could get a quicker lap, even if we had to promise to stay in order and "behave"..........
The fabulous Mr. Pluck is posting more pics up! I'm sure the owner of the 5000s will be very happy with these! Image Unavailable, Please Login
