What version of the wiper arm is correct for the different Countach models?

On the picture you can see two versions. One of them is longer than the other and some details are different.

  5. A reference to the low body S1 or S2 Countach verses the S3 and later, although the windshield is the same IIRC, so that won't help. Measure the length to the wipers, and I'm sure we can sort it out.

The middle wiper arme was installed on my 87 Countach and is very similar (same length and most details identical) to the lower/right wiper arm. But the lower/right wiper arm has a smaller "interface" to the "drive" and no plastic cover that covers the nut.

    Chad et. all...

On my car the winglet shown with the arrows was originally chromed. When we refurbished we actually powdercoated the entire arm.

I had seen both chromed and single color (black). Any idea of which were which?

Chromed winglets are a post-production/non-factory application. I've seen them too, but they are not original.

I think the smaller more rounded winglet = LP500S

Anybody know of a cross reference for the small blade? I need to replace one on a customers 25th. A part number would be great.

I know they are only 15 bucks from bullstuff, but I don't wanna pay shipping and exchange. Most importantly I don't want to wait either, if a local jobber has it on the shelf.

    Bruno wrote me yesterday:

the « small » wiper arm version without the bolt cover on the shaft fixing area was mounted on the early Countach : LP400 Periscope - I’d one at home a few years ago (#1120224) - so, I’m 100% sure about it.

Does anybody know when they were changing the diameter of the shaft?
