The Elite Ferrari series have been blown out the door from anywhere $20.00 to $39.99, not much left but I'll check in the morning & get a couple more for Xmas / Ebay stuff.

This is only in Ft. Worth. You'd have to venture to the outlet in CA to see. Different management = different prices.

I went back over there this morning to get the Elite 430 Challenge cars for $20.00 but something very strange happened. Just as I walked in & was about to reach for them a Mattel rep said that these cars also with the 599 red & blue Panamerican, 612 china tour, etc. will not be sold to me or anyone else. I asked why but she would not say only that the cars must be removed from the shelves ASAP. She seemed to be in some sort of frantic over this. About that time a worker bee from the warehouse came out & started loading up this large cart with them. The only thought that came to mind is the lead paint issue Mattel is having with many of it's products but never got a response from management. I'll try to get some more info on this if I can.

Perhaps the lead paint models will become more collectable. ;)

As long as myself plus countless other FChatter model collectors don't put these in our mouths we should be OK.

The lead is especially common in red paint as it makes the paint brighter, apparently. I have a red 360 made in China it sits on the shelf. I think I'll be alright as long as I keep it out of my mouth.

Went by today.. they have all of their 1:18 scale cars 30% off regular price.

They have a range of the 60th Tour models (non-Elite) all priced $19.49 or so before the discount. I picked up a non-Elite F430 and Superamerica for $13.99 each.

As far as Elites go, they had a China tour 612, a silver 599, one Franck Mueller FXX, challenge 430 and 360s, @ $90.00 before discount, 'cept for the silver 599, it's $69.99.

No F1 cars of any make/model.

30% off ended today. There are coupons on the outlet website. Current one is 20% off Toy Store specials.

They were $19.something with a sale going that had them for 13.something. Not sure if that sale is still going on. Of all mentioned, 430 was the scarcest with only a half dozen or so remaining. The rest of the models, greater than a dozen in stock.
