0895gt was done by Autosport Bacchelli and Villa, mechanicals by Diena and Silingardi Sport Auto Modena, interior by Luppi, classiched at the classiche department at the factory.
Thanks for your reply. Did Classiche oversee the restoration or did they attest the car subsequently?
Mark is that also blu notte paint or another shade??? Plus arancia maybe for the interior color in leather??? Any consideration of cloth for the seats?
Classiche oversaw from start to finish and inspected progress themselves and sometimes sent others too. For example Vaccari inspected the chassis.
Fully restored by Ferrari then. Excellent!!! May I ask if there is any reference to the open headlights the factory is said to have converted the car to from the closed originals in the Classiche report?
No need to mention it, as the car is now exactly as it left the factory and that is what they certify. They took the color movie of the car leaving the factory into their permanent archives. Adolfo Orsi (head judge of the Concours in Maranello) showed the class judges the video at the event the car just attended.
Was it not the factory that converted it from the original closed to open headlights? I was under the understanding that to gain Red Book Certification a car has to be as it last left the factory, which must not be the case if the factory did do the conversion.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Not sure what the blue is called but the code is 20-A-185 for the exterior and original interior is Nero VM 8500. The original interior is going in a box and an orange interior is going on like this as to a bit more fun
No doubt Marcel can tell us what the name is for that 20-A-185 color. Fantastic you would do orange for the interior. That makes a super combination with the dark blue! Amazing, as I didn't know about your use of orange when I suggested arancia for the interior. Thanks for sharing that detail here. Blu Ferrari seems to be the name for that 20-A-185
