Any Update on this? I'll be in Maranello with my wife & kids late March. Would love to see this car.... Kevin
Every time i see this thread bumped, i get my hopes up.. only to be disappointed once investigating.. sigh*
There have been no reliable reports of a 458 with a V12 engine and someone at a reasonably high level in the factory actually told me it couldn't be done due to homologation issues w.r.t. EU law. Onno
I can't believe no pics have ever surfaced on this. At some point it has to make it's debut......just how long do we have to wait though? Edit: I found this. Maybe? http://www.gtspirit.com/2010/07/27/spyshots-mysterious-ferrari-458-italia-test-mule/
I read in last month Forza that there are a few Special cars made that (Custom) that are secret. They apparently delivered 10 custome one off already and i only know of SP1 (China) 612 K SA 45 P540 Superfast Aperta Is Clapton's car part of these 10 custom one offs? I would love to know more about the missing 6...
If I were to guess, I would say yes. He wanted it to look like a Boxer and that sure does. I'm not sure it's 100% successful though. It looks a bit odd -- I hate to say this but even a bit cartoony retro. The boxer has a lot longer nose in proportion to today's modern cars. I'd have to see more before I say I like it. But, if it really has 12 cylinders --- all sins are forgiven! Image Unavailable, Please Login

There appears to be a flying buttress over the rear quarter panel that I suppose is to give it the illusion of the boxer's rear. Boxer paint also. Also notice it's RHD, which would indicate also it's Clapton's car. I think we have the mysterious car here. One funny detail is the 80's style door handle. I'm not sure that's a positive. The interior looks standard with Daytona trim. The gas cap looks "glued on". Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jimmie, Will you be in attendance? Did you read this somewhere? Just curious, that's all. Thanks for the info.. Personally, I think it looks great, with a DEFINITE tie to the BB of old, I think they did a great interpretation of it. Then again, IMO Ferrari couldn't mess a design up if they tried. Grazie. Mark
