    They have 400 people booked for the evening BBQ event and 900 visitors for the event so far.

    That would mean there could be 400 Ferrari's there [ not unless it rains ], or am I getting a little carried away?

    Don't forget you have to get a free ticket from the FOC web-site to come this year.

    I should be there with both of my cars.

    Is the event open to the public? I phoned the FOC Office and got a very unwelcome response persuading me not to go because I am not a member of the FOC and made it very clear I was not welcome. I've been going regularly to the event for the past 15 years or more and though the FOC advertise I have always paid an entrance fee on the gate. I can understand they would want to keep the public entrance numbers low but can they ban the public?

    As posted above a high number of members have applied for tickets and as parking spaces are limited there is no public access this year.

    Welcome to Ferrari - the World's most arrogant organisation. I'd say take your money elsewhere.

    It was a really good day with some excellent cars, but no interest here.
    So something is wrong between FOC GB and F'chat owners and enthusiasts.
    Should be resolved.

    Just in case you missed it.
    Tongue in check video of the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSHl5Ux34Z8&t=19s

    This was organised by the Owners club for their members and not Ferrari by the way John.

    There were some fantastic cars on display and we had a great day if a little roasted in the sun.

    To be fair, it was an excellent day (yes, I know it was FOC not Ferrari). Seeing the Testarossa Spider was an unexpected treat. Pity there were only two (by my reckoning) Daytona road cars there: the blue one with wires (GTS 4C) and silver one with alloys (INZ 365). Could anyone help with the chassis numbers and a bit of history of those two please..? Ta.

    Hi John
    Mine is 16611, I did not see the silver one, do you have any pic's please?

    I only managed to look at the cars on the field as I did not finish judging until 5.45 pm and I was frazzled!
    I did not even get a photo of my own car!!!
    Do you still have yours, sorry I can't remember, I must be getting old.

    For the 50th anniversary next year I am hoping [with the club] to organise a big Daytona meet. No details as yet because I only talked to Gary about it last week but he seemed keen.

    Hi, wow. What a great selection of cars. Which 250 LM is that and are the breadvan and Testarossa Spyder owned by people who live in the U.K. ? Oh, and which red 365GTC/4 is in the background? Many thanks

    Hi Robert.

    The 250 LM is quoted elsewhere as being 5899 but it still has its FoS 2017 number on it and I thought I had read somewhere that it was actually a little newer. I cannot seem to find this post now though.

    The red 365 GTC/4 is 15073.

    `````````````
    The Testarossa Spyder was built for Gianni Agnelli of FIAT and is now owned by someone in the UK, although it still bears Agnelli's original number plates.
    The 250 LM was entered by DK Engineering and I regret I don't know the current owner of the Breadvan but think it lives in the USA.
    I don't have my files with me but I am sure that someone can identify the telaio.
    Thanks ! My Daytona (# 15837) is sadly long-gone - but I'm looking forward to some kind of 50th Anniversary 'do' next year (the FCA is planning something for September IIRC). For my part, I'm actually writing a (to be self-published) book on the car. My photos of them go back exactly 40 years ! Regards, John
    The Breadvan has been living at Bob Hougton's here in the UK for some time. No idea about the owner.
    Fairly sure it is still with the German (?) family who have owned it a while - one of them regularly drives it at Goodwood
