Yesterday near Marvin Ridge High School Audi R8 silver, Woman or kid driving could not tell.
Columbus day weekend on rte 17 in N Myrtle Beach white 360 coupe heading north around 11 am Today on Rte 16 Providence Rd. a white 308 Euro that is pretty well known in the area and a CAFE member. Must have been on his way home was headed in that direction car looked great such a classic design. I love Ferraris in White and think I will stay with this color on my next car.
Not a Ferrari but I definitely got out-cooled at 12:30 this afternoon. Headed west on Hay Street, Fayetteville NC in my S2000 CR with the roof off, what should I see coming east, right near the railroad tracks, but a Ford GT. In Gulf blue/orange! I applauded openly as it passed, and the occupants waved back. It's always good to be properly appreciated That's the second FGT I've seen in the wild, the other one being almost two years ago on Hwy 74 near Maxton, black and eastbound. Well, also the one at Cars & Coffee in Raleigh this year, and the one for sale at Lambo Carolinas, but sightings at dealers and drive-ins don't count.
Also not an F car, but yesterday on my way to the CLT airport, took a drive thru downtown, and a flat black Gallardo passed thru the intersection while I had the red light.
red 430 spider on I 40 mile marker 267 at around 12:30 today near chapel hill. didnt recognize the driver. if you are out there please reply
cool. havent met you before. do you go to the sat am brier creek meetings? have you gone to any FCA- NC events?
I went to one of them...the brier creek ones. Had a great time. Haven't even joined FCA yet. Have to get on that. Can't get my wife to really participate in anything like that with me though...kind of sucks. She has ZERO interest in anything car related.
Had the 328 out late this afternoon and honked horns with a red 308 GTS at Norwood and Six Forks in North Raleigh...have not seen that car before I don't think.
Keith, Ha! That was me myself. Wondered who you were. Looking forward to that drink you offered me at Vivace after the November cars & coffee Nice to see another 3x8 up up in this neck of the woods. Kevin
I saw the oddest thing today on my way from Blowing Rock to RDU. I was on 421 and merging onto I-40 East just west of Winston-Salem. As I'm approaching the merge, I saw a dark red vintage car with large yellow shields on the side of the road with a guy in a sportcoat getting out of it. Recognizing the shape and the styling cues I kept thinking, "it can't be...", "it can't be..." It was a 250 GTO. ...or at least a replica of one. Had I not been in a hurry to the airport, I would've certainly stopped to investigate, help him out, etc. Anyway, I'm thinking there's a 99% chance it was a replica. I know there was a 250 GTO in our region as of a year or so ago but it was Blue/Yellow. Anyone know of this car in the Winston-Salem area?
If it was the real deal and in distress, it probably wound up at Foreign Cars Italia, so maybe Hank would know of it.
I know there was a 250 GTO in our region as of a year or so ago but it was Blue/Yellow. yes that belongs to CC in chapel hill. it was raced under a swedish team, hence the blue and yellow livery
Kevin, I thought about you but I have never seen your car so CLEAN before! My ride is due for a major sparkle.
I saw it also. Had the hood up and a Highway Patrol car behind it. It is 99.9999% replica and belongs to someone in W-Salem. It's at VIR often. I know the owner.
LOL yeah I not only washed it but actually polished it. Definite improvement and pretty darn nice I think given it's the original lacquer paint.
Spotted a red California at Yum Yums on Spring Garden St. in Greensboro today around 1pm. Unfortunately by the time I got back over there for a closer look it was gone.
