I posted this in the poll thread but I now I see bugs are meant to be logged here.

Apologies if its been reported but is the Tapatalk log in failure a known bug? I have not been able to log on to Ferrarichat since the update.

The link for the pdf imbeded in the 250 GTO listing in Ferraris For Sale isn't activated if you are signed in. It does work if you aren't signed in or in the old Fchat site. Thanks.

 

A few comments:

1) Can we finally get a permanent HTTP->HTTPS redirect for everything? Using HTTP when you have a cert and HTTPS is pointless and backwards.

2) The old forum had the personal page where threads you subbed to showed up together with subscribed subforums: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/usercp.php

Now - the closest is under /forum/account where you can see watched forums and threads, but there is an inconsistency in the area:

Likely because there is a link directly to watched forums/threads form the topbar - hence the different layout. But this right now means you have to go to 2 separate pages to have the same functionality as in the old forum - and you can't do that super-easy since there's no left sidebar there.

3) Semi-related - it would be nice (and a solution to 2) to have a sidebar on the right with "Watched Posts" - which makes as much sense as having "New Posts" in the current format.

It should be a setting if you wanted one or both in your preferences.

4) Furthermore right now "New Posts" shows posts from forums I haven't subbed to nor care about, which is kinda odd. Once you have subbed forums it should be an option to only show new posts from forums you're subbed to.

Again - should be an option.

5) As others have mentioned, the colors are washed out too much. It's not as easy scrolling down a thread and have your eyes just jump post-to-post due to the washed out colors.
I'm aware it's also habitual/training for the eye, but it should be more natural like the old color layout was.

6) I know all websites now use a lot of empty space, but it would be nice to compact the userinfo a bit more in the forums - all the stat-data could be pushed to the right up next to the icon/username/rank etc - each post header would be smaller this way. The option "Collapse User Information in Posts" didn't seem to do diddly for the layout.

2) look at the url, one part is account, other part is watched. You can get there in one click, go to news a top and click watched threads

3) We can try to add this, but already a place for watched threads. New posts is for all of site, encourages broader interactivity

4) If you want watched threads, go to your watched threads. New posts is there for everyone

I get that, but if you do this from within the account area - the format changes. Try to go to the user prefs I linked above - then go to watched threads/forums - and hello there - layout change where it's not expected.
Try this - go to https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/account/following there both alerts/news/likes stay within the area - but watched threads/forums takes you out of the format (as does conversations). It's not a big deal, but it is inconsistent - if you have a left menu that should stay there once you click a menu item.

The signature blocks are horrible, but I guess that goes with the generally whitewashed appearance.

Signatures not showing on mobile platform, least not for me that is. Android...
Ok apparently orientation matters... Normal or std view, the signature line is gone, turn to horizontal and it pops up... Is that normal?
