This car left Venezuela in late 60s or early 70s to Europe (not Italy) the owner at the time is searching old papers to find out the serial number.

0619 in the race Caracas Maracaibo Caracas #6 Chimeri.
#64 Ugo Tosa and his wife Franca, after the accident in the race Caracas Cumana Caracas on January 24 1959 near Valle de la Pascua, fortunatelly both suffered minor injuries.

Les photos sont de moi. Je ne sais pas si elle a été équipée d'origine de ces pare-chocs, mais on peut voir sur une photo postée par Branko qu'elle les avait déjà au Venezuela. La prise d'air du capot n'est pas non plus similaire aux autres 250GT de 1959.

 

Tu devrais mettre un copyright je pense.

Anybody know anything about the 500 F2 #0210 and the copy that were raced for years down there?
Also a 625 #0482 went there in the '50s.

Race at Ciudad Ojeda 1959, 0758 was driven by Ottavio Guarducci and 0726 by Ettore Chimeri, Jose Zilio was entered with a Ferrari in this race, I think it was 0534.

It might be that there was more than one race that year at Ciudad Ojeda, in my records about that race, which is very poor they show Fayen discualified and Pola as winner, never mentioning Alfonso Mena, once I return home will try to post what I have about that race.

Bruno I found a short article about the Fayen incident with 1377, Hope it clarifies the non particiation of Alfonso Gomez Mena.

So why was 1377 disqualified as it wasn't considered an FIA GT car?

 

I really dont know, still looking for old magazines and newspapers to see what explanation they gave at the moment.
