I remember seeing a Testarossa at the auto show with my pop, when I was 8. Whoa... That poster rightly lived above the Countach, and a short lived one off called the Vector on my childhood bedroom wall for years... The first time I truly heard an F car in person, I was 17, in Italy on a family Vaca - blown away. I recently obsessed and eventually acquired my first magical prancing horse, pictured below. Pure Rosso Maranello F12 bliss. The last of the Pininfarina 12's. Matte Titanium wheels, horses and marks. Black Alcantara with red stitching for the guts. A stupid grin, every time I hit that red button. A childhood dream - realized. Thanks for all the great discussion on this forum helping me research, and finally arrive at the girl for me. A few pics.... Overcast "softbox" Image Unavailable, Please Login Direct sunlight: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow! Congratulations! Beautiful F12! Take your time to learn the car, it is very well sorted but it still has a massive amount of power and it can bite if provoked. I bet you keep going out to look at it. Yes, its real!
The first Ferrari I saw in person was also a Testarossa. It was a black Testarossa parked on one of the main street in 90210. Memories like that can never be forgotten.
Great looking car. I see Virginia registration stickers and red brick house in the background. Not sure I could enjoy a Ferrari without breaking 80 MPH every once in a while with the fear of going to jail/losing my license. Enjoy in good health!
Nothing better than that particular dream fulfilled. Congratulations and what a car to fulfil it. I'm sure we all have our own stories about the initial turn on and determination to fulfil the dream. Mine started with a 330gtc as a kid and twenty hard years later I was looking at a new BB512. But no home. That's what this brand can do to you. Enjoy.
