Don't have an F-Car to drive on it, but Route 22 starts in Eastchester and gets really good up here around Katonah. About 50 minutes from the city. You can follow it all the way up to CT. Great scenic road with a good mix of twisties and straights!

Route 7 in western CT beginning at New Milford and going north is one of the most beautiful and driver friendly roads in the Northeast.

Absolutely! Route 22 (And a number of roads off of 22) is a really great trip for the F-Car (Or a motorcycle). If you're looking at the map, the ride from Kenisco Lake, and from there continue on 22N or take 121N, then take 35 into Ridgefield for a gourmet hot dog at Chez Leonard. Or take 22N or 121N to any number of other roads, like 202. RT 7 (North of New Milford) is great as well... Of course, the best part of all of this is learning the routes, and enjoying the experience!

On a positive note, there are a number of Ferrari Specialists in this area as well, so if you do run into a problem, you don't have to go far for assistance.

Palisades pkwy. through Bear Mountain and over the bridge into Peekskill. One of two roads left I really want to take my F355 on (the other being Skyline Drive).

Easy on the Palisades pkwy. The police are rough.
Though I agree - bear mountain is nice.
Head up that way on a Wed night & catch the Rodbenders car show at the Inn. Mainly American & Cycles, but where else you going to see 500-800 cars in one spot?

The Palisades is a great road in theory but stay away. I don't know a more aggressively patrolled road in the area. Speed limit is like 45 and 50 and there are tons of police hiding in the woods. In fact the road has its own police force.

Merritt Parkway from New Canaan to New York border is amazing. Lower traffic on weekends and lightly patrolled due to many factors. The bends and curves are great. Also there are many back roads in Greenwich that are really good too and very little cars are on them.

Be very careful on the Hutchinson River Parkway from Cross County up to 287 as it is very heavily patrolled at many of the large blind curves.

I used to drive the Taconic every day from Yorktown Heights to Fishkill, that would definitely be fun in the Ferrari. I remember it being fairly regularly policed, at least in one or two spots - right before the 84 entrance for one - but they didn't hide all over the place so after driving it a couple of times it was easy to know where they were going to be. I haven't driven the Palisades in that area in 10 years (at least, maybe closer to 15), but will do it someday soon, police or not, the overlooks on Bear Mt. are worth it even if you have to drive at the speed limit, and some of those curves would be plenty fast at 45mph. There are some great roads further north as well. I remember doing a fun run through Letchworth state park in my old muscle car that would be an absolute blast in the Ferrari.

Great thread, makes me want to go out and drive!

I'm not an owner yet, but I enjoy driving the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut as well as parts of Sussex County, NJ.

As far as closer to home where I am, Saddle River Road in Bergen County is a lower-speed, windy road through some fantastic neighborhoods.

Not really. Shame too because it'd be a good road otherwise. North part of the GSP above Oradell Ave is decent. Low traffic and nice.

Just did a quick trip last saturday night up the palisades, west at the fork to the traffic circle to seven lakes drive, through Harriman to route 17. Brand new smoothe pavement, twistys and elevation changes. Awesome!!!

Rt 7 is great. I always enjoy driving up to Lime Rock Park because of that road. Nothing beats it in the fall!!!

While on Seven Lakes Dr, do you make a right at County Road 106 to meet route 17 or you recommend going through Seven Lakes to get on route 17 that way? Reason I asked: County Road 106 looks kind of winding on Google Map :)

Yes, I think that's the route I took last week but was just doing a quick loop. There are a series of traffic circles and the road was newly paved until I hit 17. You can take alternate routes up in Harriman by turning at one of the various traffic circles and explore. It will take you back to either 17, the palisades or 87. Can't really get too lost. If you get onto rt 17, be careful in Sloatsburg and Tuxedo. Local police take speed limits very seriously.
