wow!!! Poor of you. That must be like the second worst work in the world. hehe J/K How do you get a job like that??
I speak english not very well..... We test all: engine, gear, handling, electrics........... 70 km with 430 and 575, 100 km with 612 in freeway and in road mountain from 0 to 240-250-260 km/h, it's depend. In Fiorano circuit we go to test only Ferrari race cars (360 Challenge and 430 chellenge more ahead), only some time with the road car. For the picture with the sign I will try, i haven't the scanner
welcome Gabriel343 & thanks for sharing the 430 with us Wonder how far you can go without being hunted as a factory spy How are there rules? forza cinquevalvole
Wow! What a great job that must be! Every day some brand new Ferrari's waiting for you... Welcome to F-Chat Gabriel! Thanks for posting the pics. Can I ask how many cars you normally test on a average day? And do you always take the same traject? The most recent time I visited the Maranello area, I saw a lot of factory Ferrari's on the nice and twisty road to Pavullo-Nel-Frignano... And at the carwash near the factory
Can I ask how many cars you normally test on a average day? 4-5 And do you always take the same traject? No we have 3 different traject: Serra Mazzoni, Modena and A1 Modena sud-Modena Nord The most recent time I visited the Maranello area, I saw a lot of factory Ferrari's on the nice and twisty road to Pavullo-Nel-Frignano... It's at the side of this road, to Serra Mazzoni And at the carwash near the factory, yes for the water test (la pergola, modense language ihihihihihih)
The doors and accents are leather, the seats are Alcantera and Carbon Fibre. I believe the seats are refinished Sparco Milanos, not certain. They look very similar, anyhow. Gabriel, Welcome to the community! It sounds as if you are dedicated to your job and enjoy it very much. May I ask how you began this line of work? Any traditional race experience? How long have you been employed at Ferrari? Thanks, Richard Thompson
Gabriel, Welcome! How do you like the 430 when compared to the Challenge Stradale? Best regards, Bill
Manuma, Gabriel you guys need to post pics! If you work for Ferrari and Manuma owns an Enzo we need to see pics please. Sounds awesome! Thank you Vasco.R
Thanks for answering my questions, Gabriel Very cool! Hehe, funny that the water test is done at that regular carwash... So every new Ferrari goes through it???
This is me in september 2003, if you want others I can post them tomorrow afternoon because I'm still in holiday
Thanks for the pic. That's great. Please do post more! Welcome to ferrarichat and don't forget to update your profile! Ciao, Vasco.R
430 is more fast, and gear it is improved. I don't know 360 CS very well because i'm in Ferrari from december 1, 2004; first i have worked in Maserati with Quattroporte.
Welcome to FerrariChat! It is great to have with your inside experience on the board. Thank you for sharing with us! Steven
Rick, I am sure however that the 430 FEELS faster, and I'm sure is, at least in the straights and I am also sure on a longer circuit it would edge out our CS's comfortably. Alex
since you have driven the 430, 575, and 612, which one do you like the best? which one in your opinion sounds the best? which one handles the best?
Gabriel343 - Thank you so very much for the info about the construction on A1. That's good news for us for the upcoming GP at Imola. The F430 that I sat in was silver in color. I think the neatest color Ferrari we saw at the factory was the special order orange one (much like the Corvette orange or Lambo orange - didn't appear quite as color changing as the Lambo color). Thank you for the post of the interior - that's pretty neat. Enjoy your work and if you know Gemma and happen to see her, please give her our regards. Carol
Gabriel, you are living a dream!!!! Thanks for all the information you have gave us. Any new supercars comming...?
