I would really like to do that as it's on such a different level. But the depreciation is too high for me to feel comfortable with. I'm not there yet and I'm ok with that.
I will definitely buy one eventually though. It makes my jaw drop like a Diablo lol

I've also heard good feedback on the Aventador clutch. It's supposed to last 100k. I talked to the head tech at Lamborghini Sarasota who's seen a few come in with higher miles with hardly any wear at all.

I hear you,but being out there since 2012 i would not shelf the idea totally, there will be cars avail ,if you look hard , to me the Aventador is a Countach on steroids lots of design cues taken from the Countach, anyway all good, money in hand ,get out there,

I appreciate the advise. I'm in no rush and have told Roy that. Right now I'm working on the steering rack on the Testarossa to get it back on the road.

I do think we're going to see some interesting pricing this winter. Canada is on the edge of recession and their "oil patch" state Alberta is in for a big fall. Already business news articles are abound how they've had a 80% drop in 1st quarter housing sales. Since the speculators are predicting a continuation of low oil, we may see a repatriation of Lamborghinis back here....including downward pressure on the newest and most plentiful Lamborghini on the used market....the Aventador.

I may be wrong...but I'm willing to wait to find out lol

....of course Roy will find me a smoking deal tomorrow and I'll have to eat my words :D

Totally agree. Treated fairly once they understand that you understand what they can and can't do. Lessons to be learned here by alas s making sure you have agreed upon value policy. Every year do some research and adjust up if necessary. Never down.

Shamile, who was it that was treating you unfairly? Your insurance company? The Lamborghini Miami? The body shop?

Being State Farm and you are actually inshured for Replacemant value, up or down( whatever it will take to put a car of similar year ,miles and brand,in your driveway.no check unless it will actually buy a replacement. I have checked this with my agent over and over, and being told so every time. It did work on my Harley way back, again acc to my agent, its the way it works,

Oh, nothing big. No one just writes a 200k+ check just like that. It took a lot of work and in the end the only one that's on your side is the company I hired.

Yes, this exactly. But, it's a process. If you really want your end kept up, you have to have someone that understands insurance policies and practices. In the end, I was happy with the deal I got and now the excitement begins in deciding which Lamborghini to buy.

Yep, as much as we love them a Countach is no all-weather daily driver. A Murci is a lot of car for the $, and as you said unless you want to take a depreciation hit I'd wait on an Aventador. Can't go wrong with an LP640. If you decide to go with a roadster Steve at Driven Exotics can make you a high quality hard top. All custom forms. It will change the way you think about a roadster.

Where do you store the hard top if you go on a road trip?

Would you be able to get a diablo 6.0? What are the US prices right now? If around 200 I'd get that. If for whatever you don't like it sell it a year later and look for something in the 400s  ;)

WOW! That's absolutely spectacular! What a beautiful design. Leave it on for standard driving, leave it at home for Roadster mode with the OEM top as an emergency.

...just beautiful. Any idea on pricing?

    Hey Bas,

The 6.0 is a collectible and my daily driving will hurt that.

A murci is where I'm going now.

...but I appreciate your input :)

The diablo roadster top was the best. The murci top was a complete joke. Find another diablo roadster if you can. I Personally think they are worth every penny.

My thoughts exactly. Since I don't go on overnight roundtrips storage wouldn't be a problem for me. You'd need to talk with Steve on pricing. Let him know you saw the photos that Larry posted.

Canada is not on the edge of a recession but your right Alberta is.The rest of Canada is doing fine. When the times were good in Alberta all the young guys that worked on the oil patch making big money bought exotic's .They have tons of ferrari's and lambo's so with your dollar so high i'm sure you can get a great deal on a car.
