A new Lamborghini v8 video, with the Lamborghini Museum Jalpa in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhX49zL4CV8
Thanks for the link. It is not a new reportage because in the begining you can noticed the old Lamborghini script on top of the factory roof, replaced since by the new one...
Does someone can confirm the BRAVO size for Jalpa ? is it 8 on front and 11 on rear ??? It would be appreciated or better to show with a pic of each wheel and a global view of the car...
from what i recall jalpa bravos are 8x15 and 11x15. some cars used left over silhouette campys while most of the later " optioned" bravos cars had the tecnomagesios regards
Does someone know this Jalpa LA12237 => 1985 Used Lamborghini JALPA TARGA at Sports Car Company, Inc. Serving La Jolla, IID 6339325
Angelo Pegno, Oyster Bay, NY (1987) Austin McCarthy, Boone, NC, USA. Angelo Pegno, New York (1991) registred 85 JALPA formerly HUS 327 2010: Motorcar Investments, Raleigh, North Carolina
thanks Raymond for these détails. Beside that, what do you know about the seller ? the previous owner ? accident free ? Who did the last services ?
Jalpa rims were always 16", Radial-ply tubeless Pirelli P7 Wheels of aluminium alloy 7,5 x 16 205/55 VR16 Front 225/50 VR16 Rear
The Bravo wheels were all 15", 8" width at the front and 11" at the rear. I have given you the correct tyre sizes for the Silhouette but when these were fitted to the Jalpa they may have been 205 at the front - I do not know. I have always wondered about the effect of these rims when fitted to the Jalpa: 1/ Ground clearance at the front. The Silhouette had deep spacer above the top mount. The Jalpa had a fabricated metal plate of two different depths, pehaps changed when the front spring was changed. But was the deep plate used with factory fitted Bravos? 2/ Gearing. I do not know if the final drive ratio was changed to accomdate the smaller diameter tyre. If anyone knows for sure i'd be keen to hear!
285/40/15 on back, I think 205's on the front. The rear rims are a little smaller in width by an inch than the Countachs. Although when I got mine it had 345's on the back, as you can see in this picture. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Last night, opening a box I've put the hand on old pictures... here is the Jalpa I've owned just a few weeks... back in 1990 when I was living in Dallas. Finally, I don't remember if I trade it for the Porsche 928 GT sitting in the back or if I trade the Porsche for it ?!? and I don't remember the car trader's name either. I've no records for the car owned in USA, so I cannot help you for the VIN, if someone knows... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's normal for the early ones, this one has even the oil cooler in the front. FLA12237, you asked for the history...
Interesting. I was aware of the oil cooler in front on early cars, the owners manual shows it there. Any idea when the deck lids/air boxes went to body color instead of the flat black?
The VIN is on the right suspension dome. On your last picture it looks like LA12?4? Maybe it's beter visible on the original picture?
