from the 2 video's the kline to me just sounds better....cleaner sounding
I heard Flea7's Kline Exhaust in person and it sounds incredible. Hence I ordered one. The best part for me is - The Kline Innovation is a valved exhaust. Quiet at idle and once it opens up it emits an incredible sound. A remote valve controller is also available so we can open up the valve anytime on command.
I ordered my Kline exhaust 6 weeks ago. I just got a telephone call from UPS on Friday afternoon stating that my exhaust exceeds the $2500 USD limit for imports thus its held up in customs. I have to either give them my federal tax ID# or my social security number. I'm wondering how long has the exhaust been held up.....smh
It's being shipped from Romania and It happened to me as well. It was $36 fees or taxes. I paid it online on the UPS site and James at Vividracing took care of it with a credit on purchase. If you are going through James at Vivid....He is terrific.... very receptive to all your questions via email or phone! 6 Weeks???.....Man! Mine took nearly 4 months! LOL
Wow Flea7.....Thanks for the info! After waiting 4 months for your exhaust, I should not complain at all. I will take care of it this week. Cheers, Mike
unreelviper, I'm glad to help! The 4 month is worth the wait....although I was a bit testy after 8 weeks....LOL Let me know if you have any questions when you get it.
I noticed Kline finally has headers. No one interested? Kline Innovation » Scuderia Anyone know a rough ball park price for K-line inconel scud exhaust?
I will say this......you could run Kline Inconel for just about the price of a popular stainless headers that people are running.......and the name is not Italian. I wish I would have known! again, I don't work for Kline nor have I receive any of there product for posting in this thread. I just think their product for our Ferrari is overlooked in comparison to the porsche and audi guys. No manufacture has Inconel for the F430 that I know. Again, it's another option for us F430 guys! Hang in there Dan! It took me 7 weeks to get mine. The only problem now is that Felix forgot to put the wireless button in the package so now i'm waiting for the button to be shipped to me from Romania. I'm glad that I am not in a really big hurry.
Thanks! Looks like mine will take 7 weeks as well. Its on its 5th week right now. Sorry to hear they forgot your Inconel valve controller kit. Hope you get it soon. Dan
By the way, in the continued quest to reduce engine bay intense heat, has any of you or anyone out there wrapped their exhaust system with heat tape or thermal blanket? Kindly share info please. Thanks in advance. Dan
Buddy here in Austin wrapped his with tape. I think is was mixed results. see here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YAdOuBbRbg&t=5s
Im working on thermal blankets for the cats which should be done any day now. Im also working on an improved air flow design to get air moving in the engine bay
Thanks for sharing Bob. Daniel is a great resource. I watched the video. Would you happen to know the final verdict on the exhaust heat wrap? Did it reduce engine bay heat, or no difference? Dan
So, using my great powers of deduction, you didn't wrap your headers, Dan? Have you noticed an increase in engine bay heat?
Hi Kevin, my headers are wrapped with Volcano tape. Works great. In the near future I'm thinking of also adding either Fabspeed or Capristo header blankets to further reduce engine bay heat coming from the headers itself. I'm asking if anyone out there has also wrapped or installed blankets on their catalytic converters and exhaust system. Dan
I did. This has been on my car for 3 weeks as a test and its worked great. Im going to put the other side on today or this evening. These blankets will withstand temps up to 1800 degree.,,, Image Unavailable, Please Login
