Awesome! Hopefully i'll see it around town. Unfortunately i'll be in Florida from Feb-Sept so I won't get to possibly see it until next fall
There was a red F430 Spyder at the stoplight near the Quiktrip in Valley Junction around 5:30 tonight. Also a black Rolls Royce (older) on 100th st in Urbandale last weekend and a neon green Lotus Elise on Merle Hay yesterday.
dude you really need to start carrying around a camera or at least a camera phone. I like seeing pics
Agreed. Most of the time I'm on my way to a sales call or on my way to watch a store or something work related so I don't exactly have time to turn around and snap a picture. I get them when I can like the DBS I caught in Valley Junction this summer or when I happen to catch something on the interstate.
I got rear ended today while I was stopped at a red light pulling off of Hwy 30 in Ames in my TVR. F****** minivans!!!
Nobody was hurt and the TVR was drivable but I do not know how much damage beyond that. Because of the huge rear glass and single piece body I imagine this will be a huge task to get fixed.
Wow, sorry to hear that. Your Blue TVR is a beautiful car, figures it was a minivan. Let me guess, the kids were in the back seat yelling and the mom was on the cell phone?
Yesterday I drove the MG up to the store (Dahl's on Merle Hay) to get some snacks before watching the Grand prix. When I came out there was a couple umm young gentlemen in the car next to me. One leaned out the window and said "Oh mmannn is that a Maserati?" I had to look at him for a moment to make sure he wasn't just havin fun with me......he wasn't. I politely said "no it's an MG, they where made over in England" As I drove away I couldn't help think "tomorrows leaders" Another 20 years and these guy's will be in congress. Racy Ronnie
Heard this black Viper coming. What a sound !!! Also, a gold Bentley Continental Flying Spur on 35 South yesterday morning. No pic, I was heading northbound ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know, I know.....I shouldn't even mention it without getting a photo to post.....but.... There was a new, gorgeous, black-on-black, Aston DBS Coupe in the parking lot of Dahls on Ingersoll yesterday. I waited quite a while for the owner to come out of the store, but I had to leave before I got the chance to meet him. The car lives in my neighborhood though, so I'm sure I'll get another chance to get a photo to post at some point So, someone around here has some seriously fine taste ....hands down, this is the most impressive car I've seen in Des Moines so far.
Would it have looked anything like this ? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140678900&postcount=375
Spotted a RR Ghost this afternoon turning into Glen Oaks...was in the middle of a turn when I saw it so no pic
There is a yellow Lambo in the Quad cities, it belongs to a friend of mine, and very soon I will receive a 1995 Ferrari 456 and you can bet I am excited.
I have a Corvette and a Panoz in my shop right now. Most horsepower I have had next to each other so far. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Spotted the DBS by Z'Mariks in Clive about 25 min ago Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Maroon Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4S followed very closely by a black Lotus Exige on 65/69 heading south towards Indianola, near the Carlisle turn off, at around 9:15 this morning.
hey guys I'm Alex from the New England thread. I was poking around FChat and I noticed this thread. you guys may or may not know this but there was a Ferrari 166MM Spyder trailered into the Northeast Exotic Car Show in Merrimack, NH with an Iowa plate! hope I was able to help, -Alex Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very Nice! I had heard a rumor a while back about such a car being somewhere in eastern Iowa..... but, no one ever substantiated it. So, I did not know for sure. Can you release any more details about the car or the owner? Is he/she here on F-chat?
Last I knew in 2009 John F. Megrue Jr. owned this car. If anyone knows that it was sold to an Iowa buyer I would like to know, I have been given a name that attaches it to Cedar Rapids.
That's interesting, Steve. I had heard Iowa City ---- but, 25 miles is well within "close enough to be consistent" evidence for me .
