I have the CN12s, but am running different rubber on the road. Keep me posted on the SV reunion. John
SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John Do you now have wing mirrors? I once drove a purple SV that didn't have them either. Looked great but was a tad hard to drive without them. Best
no kidding! I miss my RH mirror on the new car... JRV won a honkin' piece of Baccharat with his SV last weekend, down here... I told him about the Chicago winner and reminded him to use both hands! I don't think he even opened it, the box was still wrapped! Now he needs a fireplace..... for the mantle!
Oh, he opened it. Pics on his Lambo site of the thing sitting on his Miura. Surprised it didn't leave a dent! By the way, have we no 350/400 GT owners here?
Darn, I was looking for it on the wrong site! Thanks!!!! It was a very nice event...saw lots of old exotic car guys there!
LOL! That's what I meant!!! Naw, I had not seen Sid, the original Ferrai dealer in Houston, since his retirement from the Risi organization, but I'll remember when I was deciding between a 308 and a TR, he pointed out the TR had more room for a beer cooler!...you just don't get good advice like that in these PC times anymore... There was a whole crowd of Rolls guys that I had never seen until then...my gf was mad because she was a little ...under dressed! I told her you can't be too rich or too thin, and just pretend we went with the surf woody with our tropical print attire. "Business classy" was just short of "black tie" with some groups, but when you roll up in a Pierce Arrow or a Cord, I understood completely!
Matt Jones, of Reoriginals was a judge, and he looks more like Gerry Garcia everyday! Just a lot of irreplaceable characters were out that night, for a good cause! I was hoping to win the Rolex in the raffle! That's the only way I'll ever reach one! I just found the stub in my billfold, I'd better call.. I put Valeria's name on it hoping she'd win the convertible New Beetle, to match the Turbo S she owns. The VW was a beautiful cream color inside and out, with lovely leather work!
We have CN12s left...I sold 2 to Mr. Barone and then 4 to a japanese client. They are fetching a high premium to let you know. I would like to keep 2 sets for myself. If you are interested they are NOS from 1972 never been mounted. Im working on the SV details right now for a reunion. I will keep you posted. We will be busy with the concours route next year (2005) pebble beach amelia island and Louis Vouton classic and we want to do it right, so i guess the longer we wait the better. So maybe end of 2005? Palm Beach? Valentino will be there along with others from the factory i can assure you of that! -jt
Napolis: Jim Spiro fitted the mirrors during his short ownership of the car before me. So its a tad easier to drive. Jim just bought another SV. Crazy guy is using it as a daily driver. Jim and I live about a two or three blocks from each other in New Orleans. We will be driving them together tomorrow night. Kind of neat, having two buddies in the same neighborhood with SVs. We are doing are best to contrbute to New Orleans' "exotic" reputation.
I remember them fondly. A member of Foghat had one that we cruised around in. Voodoo, Jazz, crawfish, and SV's what more could you want? Best
I have some Foghat vinyl... looking forward to the FQ Classic! Throw the Ferrari Art Car into that mix..... JRV didn't even clean the windows! Rain streaks on 'em from driving over! He needed a "spray bottle girl"......
John, Rarely, do you see a car like yours. It is incredible given its condition and its cool history. I have a '91 TR that's a great car, but your Miura places me in a position that I'm lacking words. Good luck, Jim
I wan't to congratulate you guys on your beautiful bulls! I am a HUGE fan of Lamborghinis, and these are some of the finest I have EVER seen. Especially love the Miuras, so beautiful and classic, and 6.0 SEs stunning yellow Countach.
Ralph, are you still looking for a Jarama S? VERY clean RHD one on ebay UK right now - old enough that importing it won't hurt much http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2483542339 "This beautiful 5 speed manual example is finished in Burgundy with Tan leather trim and deep red carpets. It is fitted with Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Electric Windows, Michelin XWX tyres, Original Cartridge Player in roof. We understand that this is one of only a handful of UK right hand drive cars built. This car has been restored in the late 80's and has had very little use until last year. There has been a total of 6 owners in 28 years! with the previous registered keeper owning from 1989 until 2003. This car really needs to be seen, the condition is outstanding throughout and drives as it should with everything working. There is a comprehensive history file and a service and new MOT will be given to the winning bidder. Please feel free to email or call for further info or photos, any viewing welcome prior to auction end. Remember you are bidding to buy, serious bidders only please. The car is advertised elsewhere and therefore reserve the right to end the auction early. Users with zero feeback please email before bidding. Thanks for your interest." Chelle
6.0se.... Yours has got to be one of the mose beautiful Countach's I have ever seen! The wheels look awsome with the paint scheme and I do happen to think stickers look great on cars in the way that you have them oriented. I love the yellow motor too! This car ranks up around #1 in my book! Of course all the other cars posted look nice as well. Mine's a C/T replica so I won't post it. Look at my profile for pics.
AJ, time to update this thread with a pic of your new orange Murcie!! Is an exhaust mod in the works? The blue Murcie I drove in Chicago had Tubi.
