Large Wrists over 8" - watch suggestions

    I have an 8-1/4" wrist and I am having trouble finding timepieces that look appropriate to scale.

    I have a 44mm panerai that looks great. I wanted to add a Jaeger reverso...

    Only one version the largest Grande duo date (986) starts to feel right. But I find the smaller numbers get hard to read even on this model.

    The clean panerai face with larger numbers and markers has been easy to read and useful. I'm not wanting to wear the watch as a bracelet trinket I can't read.

    I'd like to add a dressier watch like the reverso but find anything less than 44-45mm a poor fit for me. I looked at several Rolex but even the explorer ii at 42mm is not ideal. The 39 and 40mm seem really small and dated.

    Would love a watch from the big 3 or 4 like an AP royal oak but the offshore might be the better fit for me. It's not really dressy but another "sports" watch. I like the vacheron overseas but they are also smaller at 41-42.

    What are others wearing that have nice in-house movements and good pedigree but on the bigger size?

    Hublot? Richard Mille? IWC big pilot? Or stick with larger panerai even though it is more down the food chain on prestige...

    ...what's already been said and of course many Breitlings are big and some are available with in-house movements. You might also check out Marathon's search and rescue pilot's chrono as it's awesome and big.

    Check out the 46mm Navitimer 01. I don't know my wrist size, but having fairly large wrists, it fits me perfectly, my 44mm Breitling Colt also fits well as have most Hublot and AP's I've looked at.

    Im 6'4" - used to only wear 44mm and larger watches. Im only wearing my 42mm Pateks. Love the size. 5522, 5905, 5524 are the 3 I have.

    Try them- they will fit well.

    Otherwise, you have some great suggestions above.

    I love the IWC big pilot EXCEPT for that monster winder/crown. Doesn't it dig into your hand?

    It’s not a daily driver unless you have large wrists but it’s light and pretty comfortable. If you buckle it a little tight and high the crown doesn’t dig in. My pic is a little deceiving. The bigger problem is not banging it on things.

    But the dial on the 5002 is amazing to look at in the metal.
