Thanks Andrew and I'll certainly post some action pictures ;)

Thanks. Somehow I think you are absolutely right. This is going to be a car with a very high fun factor.

Congratulations M. I own also a 458 Challenge which I use only in trackdays in Spain.
You will find that this car is much easier ti drive than the GtO.
I look forward to hearing your expreriecies wher you drive in the shake down.

    Yours

    Thanks a lot.

    Me too ;)

Thanks. Can't ask for a better team to take care of this car. They are very professional. See you at Spa.

Hi Josep. Thanks for the feedback. Interesting but then again, if you go near the limit with the GTO she does tend to get tricky so I see where you are coming from with the Challenge. I'll certainly share some of my experiences in this thread.

I was blessed enough to experience the 458C as a passanger around the GP track of the Nurburgring and she is insanely quick. Such an enormous thrill. Worth every penny (i can only imagine). Enjoy!

Thanks. Must have been quite an experience!

Thanks. She will be staying at the dealer but I will certainly get some pics of all 3 together. That's on the "to-do" list ;)

Beautiful car, really suits the bare race-spec perfectly.

I've got a question though; to what extent can you track this car yourself, without needing track/crew support? Is the 458C a car you can just drive onto a trailer and hitch to the back of your car and show up? I'm thinking about the setups too, is it a car that is hard to do basic tuning to once you are present at the track (shocks, brakes etc.)? I know companies like FF Corse provide track support to all those members who pay for it, even just for track days. But I'm thinking since the 458C derives from the Corse Clienti, it should be able to be tracked like that too (by the client themselves), without requiring a few technicians here and there.

Congratulations on a fine acquisition! :)

Thanks. Not street legal where I live.

Thanks. I have a crew and full support from my dealer. That's the best option for me. We have an experienced mechanic who knows how to set up the car and perform all the pre-drive and post drive checks. He will attend all the events I will drive this year. For me it is important to have a great understanding with the mechanic and that you get professional support. If you intend to do this right and enjoy the car for a couple of seasons it is a must in my opinion to have professional support. Even if it is just to use it on track days (which is the case for me).

It is not recommended to show up on a track day with a 458C without proper support or you could be in for a bad experience.

That'a sounds very much like the right decision. I for one would not purchase such an advanced car as the 458C without having support from someone who had a fine understanding of tuning and setup's. :)

Sponsor logo's being put on the car today and she is being prepped for Saturday's shakedown. This is so exciting ... :D

They do announce cold weather (around 8°C) with wind and some showers :( I guess we will have to use rain rubber ...
