now that the sight is active, what are the thoughts about the obvious contouring above the door handle? it explains the recesses noted in the spy pics, but i am surprised the contour continues to the door handle area, it almost reminds me a littl eof the testarossa and how it is contoured (but to a much smaller degree)

550 had similar crease over the door handle as well

Albeit I have never owned such beauties (I'M still young but trying to make a decent living to buy a vintage Ferrari), I already rode in a 250 California and a 250 SWB... They are so uncomfortable, but so much fun! I have seen most of the vintage Ferrari except the racers...

You need to visit the Museum in Maranello, you'll see some amazing cars (for example a very rare Lancia-Ferrari D40)

Yet still need to see a P4 (or P3 or 412P), a 250 GTO "live"

    Cheers.

...and it seems like that contour continues all the way to the rear lights: look at the picture under the 'registration' tab.

Completely different cars! But you are lucky to own a 612.

I have to admit I do not like the 612 because of its strange proportions (ultra long wheelbase) but the new version (special edition with Panorama roof) looks very nice...

I am curious about that Lancia-Ferrari D40. The only thing I know about Lancia is that they had a great rally team.

Remember the Enzo prototype and how it looked nothing like the actual production car?
I wonder how much of that will play into this car and the test pics we see?

Sorry, it was the D50... The Lancia D50 raced in 1954 in formula one. It was a revolutionary car because its fuel tanks were on both sides of the car in pontoons. The cars were bought in 1955 by Ferrari and Raced by Fangio for to win the F1 world championship... One example (I don't know which) is in the Ferrari museum...

So i messed with the picture from the "send to a friend section" and here is the view of the front from the side. The fender lines remind me of a 250 Testa Rossa..

Here is the hood from the initial page...You can see the hood scoop opening directly above the bars. Also, as I messed with it with the different colors, there are shields on the fender. (you cannot tell from this picture though)
