Patpong, where are you located? Your license plate looks like it has Hebrew writing on it. Just curious...nice 308 by the way.

Great work. Great looking. nothing sacrilege, just beautyful work of art.
Would it be best if you make it a competition version or LeMans replica instead of the 288 GTO replica? May be adding a few stickers in race car looking it should be great.
I believe the 288GTO is the ultimate dream for all 308 lovers.
Do you have the pictures of the conversion process? I would be really nice for us.

Are you sure? At first glance, (the first 3 photos) it looks like a beefed up 328, and not a 308. The rear is a 328 give-away.

It look to me that way too. But the owner toled me that it was the 308. The car was sent to Germany for this conversion. Pretty much all body panel were change except the roof. I did not ask about the engine though.

    NICE!!.

I think I like the front end treatment on his better. The four driving lights on the real GTO (and mine) are a little distracting to me. Other than that, the 288 is just the sweeeetest car ever designed.

I wish I could post the conversion pictures, but I did not do it - I am two owners removed from the conversion job. I was told that Norwood did the work and I must admit that most of the work is very well done, so that would make sense. It was definitely not done is somebody's back yard.

And you are right - anyone with a 308 or 328 has got to wish they had a 288. Heck, anybody with half a brain wishes they had a 288.

Great thread - thanks for getting it going - we need more 308s in here guys

I like the top one - but the fender shield looks huge - what's the story?

It's a more classic look huh? It's the same car, the bottom one is just after I bought it and the top one was just the other day. I've had a few things done and added the new wheels a couple weeks ago. I think it looks better. The shields are standard size but I'm not sure I like 'em yet.

I like the original wheels. But the other set might perform better. Because mine is the 16" and it dose hold the road better.
    Great view.

The top picture is with the "new" wheels and they are 16". They are actually the SuperPerformance reproductions of the 308 QV wheels. The others were Gotti's and while I'm sure they were a little lighter, I don't think it has made a noticeable difference. I liked the stock look better and I think the Gotti's look was a little dated. The new ones seemed to brighten the whole car up some.

By the way...anybody interested in a used set of 16" Gotti wheels??

Very nice, great shape, For some reasons, I think the Fiberglass look a little different than the metal body. It would be great if you can post some more pics.

Here are some more pictures, Patpong. The fiberglass GTB body is supposed to identical to the steel. I think that the front fender flares are just a bit more pronounced on the fiberglass car.

Great looking. I am glad she isn't a garage queen. Some other Ferrari may be but not the 308.
Keep posting pictures of your 308 when you take new photos of it. We love to see more 308's here.
