Tony: Thank you for the contacts. Look forward to see the rear cargo seats when completed. Will post when completed along with ss fuel lines installation. Regards, Taz
Hi Taz, All credit goes to Tony (my consiglere ) and Indra my mechanic (BAE certified mechanic by day) along with Agus. They made a very good team and able to problem solve anything we encounter on this restoration project,
I'm now thinking a single seat with a storage box to the right for phones etc and a drink holder on the left ... and maybe an intercom system Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tony: How are you mounting the seat to the frame? Very creative with the intercom system, will there be a flight attendant? Regards, Philip
We are adhering lock washers and bolts under the frame to lock seat. With all the airplane parts the flight attendant was a great comment. Regards, Taz
Engine ran for an hour today from idle to brief bursts to 4,000rpm. New fuel pressure regulator on the LHS fuel circuit ... doesn't regulate, causing some problems which took a while to source the problem (pumping out 9 bar !) New heat shield needs to made up for the starter motor, too close to the headers Nothing out of the ordinary really, making progress
Headers have had the thermocouple mounts (ports) installed Exhausts have the Lambda sensor mounts welded in New starter motor heat shield in Inconel (made from an aircraft auxiliary power unit combustion chamber liner), not pretty but should be effective, good for around 1,000 deg C Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The only place we can find where we can put the thermocouple amps is ... on top of the engine. In an engine bay the size of an old finned Cadillac we can't find any space to fit a few boxes the size of cigarette packets ! So ... in order to not have another long delay we've used an old Pioneer car amplifier case to keep things moving , we can machine up something later. The bunnies thought it was ok to use , we got their agreement (chin rub on the box) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Chad, my back office / workshop is a bit of a mad house , there's usually some rabbits and a cockatoo running around. One visitor described it as a salvage version of a Google office. ... and I like music while I work. In this photo the 'supreme rabbit' is listening to the stereo (seriously) , they particularly love Chuck Berry , it drives them nuts and they run around and enjoy the music.
