I live near the Kennedy Space Center and need a high quality shop to recover my dash. I am willing to bring the dash as far as Sarasota/Tampa if they are good.

The dash is out of the car, the leather is off and the base is cleaned of the foam, etc. I am hoping that the leather can be reapplied.

    Any suggestions??? Big Thanks!!!

Excellent shop down here in Naples. Concours Interiors. A little far from you, but IMO worth it.

Many thanks for the referrals here. I called around and decided to go with Concours Interiors in Naples. Richard Pirics said he has done four 360 dashboards. New leather, new foam, etc... I will drive the dash and airbag over myself and not risk damage or loss in shipping.

The yellow plastic 'trees' that hold some of the interior panels suck. Had to order new ones from Ricambi. They don't cost much, but they can't be reused cause they break. I spent some time removing the old foam and glue from the dash structure. This will save me a good amount of cash that was easy for me to do to my liking.

Here are some pix of my disassembly...

I will be driving over to Naples, FL picking up my dashboard and passenger airbag this Monday at Concours Interiors from Richard. I will take pictures and post them here. Then the fun begins reinstalling the dash. I hope all goes smoothly, no left over parts, or this item had to go in before all these other parts....

Right at this very moment, I finished putting it all back. I must say it is a PITA!!! On a scale of one to ten, this was a eight for me. I can't imagine a Shop slamming everything back in a couple of hours and getting the fit right...

I was careful keeping screws, etc.. organized for reinstall. It was like everything got shook up and changed dimensions. Many screws needed to be run thru a die, or a screw hole chased with a tap. The weirdest was the dome light screws. Three screws, kept them with the dome light until reinstall. They either shrunk one size or the threaded hole grew a size!!!!! Had to run over to ACE Hardware and buy the 'proper' size screw. Getting the interior panels back in that use the Xmas Tree plastic pieces suck. You can't see how they are aligning to the hole in the body. Glad that I had new extras on hand.

I have had the interior out before several times for other work, but this is hopefully the last time!!!! Just because the parts came off, doesn't mean they go right back together.

I will take some pictures tomorrow when I am in a better mood and post them here.

    Happy New Year All!!!!!!
