Haha! Don't do yourself down Marc! Interesting that the blue car is now marked down £5k from before, still probably above its proper pricing. I think the Grey RHD one recently sold in Hendon would have been better bought at that money....looking forward to seeing the pictures of the massed ranks of Ks in a few weeks!! Cheers. Mark
Hi All I spotted a Khamsin in the background in the story Countach bare metal respray The car was done by http://www.alsaautomotive.co.uk/ Any one know this car? Graeme

Hi Walter The comment Injection system? Also what is a dry sump engine doing with a wet sump camcover? and the other weird bits in the engine bay or is this areally early car? Regards Graeme
Too bad they ruined a perfectly nice original car with a bastardization Injection system on it. I was expecting that line from your. What' sup?
Walter, What is the story on the car? There is a particular NYC-area dealer that would advertise that as a project for an ambitious restorer. I think Bob S knows who I mean. Carmine
No, they'd probably list it as "restoration recommended". Kidding ... Looks like it probably got too hot Carmine. A candidate for scrap metal recycling?
Scrap metal I dought it, the panels alone are worth keeping and the rear cradle. The inners on the engine are worth something, gearbox etc. Graeme
Sad sight indeed. What caused it? Would be nice to know if the fire originated in the car, or was the car caught in a fire. Looks like it burnt until the flames didn't have anything to feed on anymore. There's some interesting dry-sump stuff to be had there, engine or parts thereof, gearbox, diff perhaps.
Maybe Marc can shed some light on how many of these cars burnt to the ground? Is there one main cause ? Cheers Mark
I had the dash apart this week and look what I found on the back side Image Unavailable, Please Login
I remember when I had mine apart, but didnt take pictures, it has 403 witten in what looked like red lipstick! Graeme
Don`t ask me. I know this car quite long and the owner is -unfortunately- known for converting his cars or adding "upgrades" on them. Not my cup of coffee....
The car was caught in a desastrous fire. I was unable to identify it as the VIN could not be seen anymore. The owner kept it for spare parts like differential, gearbox etc.
But certainly you know the guys I'm talking about. No need to name them in public. But the next time you're out for Arabic food in Astoria ...
Hi Walter the Vin Number is stamped in the chassis on the R/H front suspension tower. Un less this part melted it should still be there. Cheers Graeme
Buyer's there need to be a tad Gullible. Oh they have some nice cars too. Even Frank bought bought one from them.
Jack/ Graeme, Not sure who asked but here is the picture of the fluid level pipe and grommets I removed from my LHM tank. Pipe is quite hard clearish plastic. Cheers Bal Image Unavailable, Please Login
really just spell it out, 'C R O O K' is fitting. i had a just awful experience. they enlisted a con artist in Georgia to pawn off one of their lies. took me 6 months and a threat from the New York attorneys office to get a title. worst experience i have ever had buying anything
The Bora tank has metal 90 degree fittings soldered onto those holes so slipping on a piece of replacement hose is no big deal. This looks like a dumb design.
