    Joe,
...when did Walter said that??? And in what context?

About the other pics: no, I don`t like the "Zinc-car", nono!!! Like the pic of the "lost" Miura with this heavy bumper on its nose. What car is it???

Joe, I hope all pics you publish here are NOT in your upcoming book! Hope there are other shots of those great cars.

    Ciao!
    Walter

    Walter,
Wally said that in 2003. He said it because his old 5092 is a very 'historical' car that should have been restored in the original gold color. I agree.
Dont know chassis number of the "nerf-bar" project car.
The book project has a different set of images, although....naturally some are being used here (important ones all copyrighted to me)...which in a sense is a way to let people know what standard to expect. So this venue is a great way to share.

hmmm,....#5092 in yellow! Didn`t like the color then nor do I like it today!!!

I would suggest NOT to publish here photos that will be in your book. Why to buy it then? Hope that it will out very soon!

    Ciao!
    Walter

Yes, 5092 should be gold, period.
Of course Walter, I know better than to post all the images that will be forthcoming in a book!! There have been one or two posted here but they will look completely different in high-res on quality paper. Also, rememeber, the book will be a journal of information, illustrations, chassis numbers, history etc etc etc that youll ONLY get in the book. Dont worry about images OK, I would describe whats posted here as "outtakes" of particular shoots...

    Alan,
Dont apologize! It is the car's current owner's RESPONSIBILITY not to blatantly mis-represent the history of the aforementioned vehicle. I happen to know that the car's current owner is also AWARE of the car's true status, which makes it worse. It even has a non-original plaque made up and installed on the dash proclaiming a 'Last' status, but that is an item that was added in recent years.
Yes, the SVJ is indeed Ex-Shah.
The others we had better not comment on.... LOL. I do like the sublime green Ex-Justin De Villneuve P400S - it was never Twiggy's car as often parroted. He was simply her manager, and she MAY have sat in it...once!
BUT, your images are both stunning and appreciated.

Writing in CAR he coined the phrase "Supercar" to describe the Miura. Setright, Nichols, Blain, Fraser, Bulgin. Some of the best automotive writing came from these men and CAR magazine.

LOL. If this book gets published (pray hard) everyone here will know how to get it...
I havent posted one-hundreth of the vintage images of what I is archived. I think Walter's point was to not over-expose the images and have some never-before-seen images exclusive for the boook. Well that is exactly what will happen, so standby...

An F-Chatter has paid what is documented to be an unsurpassed sum for a Lamborghini of any kind.

The private deal involved the purchase of the Bobileff-restored Miura SV 5096 for close to $800,000 US. This SV is understood to be one of a handful of the very best restored examples extant, indeed restored by the Miura maven who has become accepted as the most experienced Miura retorer worldwide.
The deal was brokered by Bobileff and yours truly.

Another similar Bobileff-restored SV based on the East Coast is set to come to the market next spring when the owner of that car's other SV (he has 2) has its restoration completed. It is thought that the owner will ask circa $1 million US. No telling if there will be any takers at that level.....

MIURA business must be the most profitable these days
2 years ago a BOBILEFF restored Miura would change hands for $ 100 G
    and that was already expensive.

I wonder how many Miuras has Gary B. restored ?

Im sorry Martin but you are completely incorrect. 2 years ago restored SVs were circa $450k. They havent traded for $100k for about 10 plus years.

Bobileff has restored about twelve (12) Miuras.

Not sure about either. Publishing a good book is a monumental task I can tell you from personal experience, so its usually good intentions.
