Mine was a S.A. car (Saudi Arabian), and both lighters were the same. I've always suspected that some are modified.

I just received the lighter from eurospares ... wrong !
It's a BRICO for a 308 until 1982 or a Mondial 8, Wade posted absolute correctly before. See (stolen) pictures of a similar one.
Any other source for the correct lighter ? Ricambi america says "NLA"
Anyone who wants to swap my Brico for a correct one ?

I'm afraid these are quite horrible to find. The only source I found is "Allferrariparts". I like originality, but 370 USD (+EU VAT) for an item that I will not be using... I'll pass :) I was looking at this 2 years ago and the stock hasn't changed since. Ask if they can send pics of this item (This is what I always do, especially with Eurospares as they box the items under the name of used cars that they get in.. It simply might have the wrong part on it, without their knowing.)
    Buy Ferrari Part # 70000627 CIGARETTE LIGHTER, LAMP, 308GTB, 308 GTB , 308/S, 512BB, 512 BB, BOXER , 512 BOXER, BB, 365, 512/TESTAROSSA Buy Ferrari Spares

An Alfa Romeo GTV Spider is the same, but! it mentions "Brico Pram" on the edge which the Ferrari one doesn't. I find the Ferrari one more elegant without, but that's personal. They go usually half the price.

Sorry, Tijn, but I don't understand your posting ?!?!

I've got the Brico, I've paid 350 EUR (shipped), it's very fine, NOS, but it is NOT the right one. Mondial 8 have had the Brico, but Mondial QV and Mondial 3.2 have had the other style, not Brico-style.

Do you want to have my Brico Lighter ? I don't need it.

See link, other Part-No. I've requested photos from Tom Vail, to see if that particular Part-No. is the correct style, but no answer yet.

Buy Ferrari Part # 61658900 CIGARETTE LIGHTER, LAMP (MULTIPLE PARTS), MONDIAL QV/MONDIAL 3.2 (NLA) Buy Ferrari Spares

Ah Sorry, I thought you were looking for the Brico one. At the time I asked the dealer and they mentioned there were 2 kinds for the 3.2 and gave me part #70000627 as this would be still available. Now 2 years further I sometimes have the feeling that they do not know our cars in detail anymore, which proved just again.

Ask stekkefun4. He just bought a 3.2 that he is parting out. He mentioned the interrior is still complete. From the looks it has the one still you are looking for on the second pic.

I have this one in the back and my front was missing only the round rubber black push ring was glued to the panel.
Thanks for the offer Marcus, but I have put a modern one in the front to connect my devices since we do a lot of trips. Ps. EuroSpares usually does a refund if the item is not good. Talk to Claudio as he is always very understanding. (I'll PM you his email address)

Yes, THAT is the lighter, I am looking for.
In the passengers backseat there is exactly that one in my 3.2 but in the front there is only the black rubber ring without insert.
After 34 years of smoking (up to 120 cigarettes per day - w/o filters !) , I quit smoking in Nov 2014. So I do not need the lighter anymore, but .. I want to have it !

Thank you for any efforts, Tijn

Yeah and the fun things is that this type of lighter wasn't supposed to be installed in a 3.2. Must have been one that had been lying around on the factory floor for some years and someone finally put it in a car LOL

Markus - your Dino GT4 looks great! You really have a nice collection.
i have a heart for the underestimated Ferrari models.
they really need to be preserved and loved.
sometimes i regret that i have sold my GT4, but it is still with a friend and i am allowed to visit any time i want.

    what chassisnumber is your GT4?

Thank you - your collection looks really different but good with all the cars in argento.
btw - what happened to 2281GT? i heard the car was stolen. did you get it back?
When it was offered by Thiesen at the Techno Classica 2004 i had a very close look at the car and was interested. another regret, not to buy the car at that price then!

No, I did not get her back ... yet. The hope never dies !
I bought her a few months later in 2004 from Thiessen for Eur 62.500,- , not cheap at that time for that car. But she was "matching numbers" and so I invested more than Eur 300.000,- over the years. Only one week after finishing the complete restore, she was stolen at the Nürburgring in August 2014 - without an actual Appraisal Certificate, so the insurance only paid 20% of the value. 10 years of work and lifeblood ... simply gone. :(

oefff..! that hurts 2 times Michael! Sorry to hear this hope they find her! This faces reality for most among us that we actually need to do taxation. I still need to do it (last was 5 years ago) and it lurks in the back of my mind. I made 3 precautions so that the bad guys can at least not start her and together with a gate lock you buy time. One thing that they don't like for sure is taking too much time on something that they want to take.
