"A sunroof and it works? I see there is rope to keep the public away from the cars?? " In response to both questions, I would use the french term "en principe!" It is a catch all phrase which is difficult to translate exactly but is something like "usually, that's the general idea or principle but you cant always count on it." The sun roof sometimes needs a little help from my hand to close at the end and ensure the seal., As far as the ropes, that did sort of keep people in the lanes between the cars but when they wanted to admire or talk with the owner there were no rules about passing inside. And I had my engine lid up which was like a magnet to the motor heads who wanted to look and discuss. Then they would ask to see the trunks front and rear. So, much of the afternoon, I was open for viewing and that pulled people in. Regarding the AC belt, I really dont know. It took my mechanic about 9 months (off and on) to really figure out what was wrong. In the end, it wasn't the compressor but seals and leaks and the need for a different dehydrator. So my feeling is it would be the belt that works with the original 85 QV. I'd be happy to ask if you have a specific request.
Looks like a very nice trip Gerald! and how fun it is too see those kids smiling when they sit behind the steering wheel. Their smile is bigger then the steering wheel itself when they are allowed to press the horn! Priceless! I love to share my Ferrari like this when we are on trips ourselves. Lost count how many already sat in it for a picture
Gerald, thanks, if occasionally you could ask him that would be nice; see mine... which is the original spec on an early York compressor - you may have the later Sanden unit which seems gentler on the belt. When it bust, it also impacted the alternator/wp belt and twisted it 90° around some pulleys. It lasted another 100km before I was able to replace it. Thanks Mike. Just got the car a couple months ago. It spent some time at Dave Helms' place right after it arrived to get fitted with a revamped fuse box. Runs great now. Now I get to work on the little things. I already fixed the warped center console switch panel, replaced the stereo head unit and repaired the front spoiler. Next up will be new door speakers and a new top. I'll post more pics when I am able. Love this forum!

Managed to park the Mondial in between some rarified company. A 275 GTB/4 on one side, and a Maserati MC Stradale on the other! And lastly, cooling down after a spirited drive back. Great Shots David, thanks for sharing ! Our Sunday Cars n Coffee place has recently been shut down by the (shopping center and condominium owners) complaining that there are too many idiots racing, speeding, revving engines and disturbing the peace. Cops shut it down 2 weeks back and told everyone not to come back or they will face ticketing. What a bummer and it was a result of a few that spoiled it for the rest of us regulars!
