Is it me or does the rear look a little too jacked-up. Seems to be too much fender gap on the rear. Otherwise a nice car.

Has anyone every thought that maybe these things are set up this way because it worked better in testing and in the wind tunnel? Aside from the colors of the ducts, it looks unbelieveable, as for the rest, wing or no wing, Im sure it effects the performance of the car.

Everytime I see more pics, I love it even more, I can't wait to see one in person. And to the guy saying the back might look a little "high" it's the angle, I have seen many shots, the car is low, I can tell you that for sure.

For me I was relieved the to see the front bumper and intakes don't dominate the car like I thought they would. They are lower than I originally thought and actually looks good.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't really like the rearview mirrors. I love the style, but the F430 logo and rest of the mirror just look odd to me. What do you think?

I actually love the mirrors, very distinctive. And the embossed F430 is a great touch IMO.

Gentlemen, everything on this car enhances performance first.

It is more aggressively shaped than the 360 to reflect the enhanced performance, yet it's still gorgeous in the Ferrari tradition.

It's amusing how you nitpick the car. Very funny.

Er, are we not allowed to have an opinion or something ????

Come on Ferrari's are just cars. I personally do not like every one, some are better than others. The 360's head lights are very ugly as are the 575's ... and I could talk about other models, but I do not want to go on.

This car is getting better everytime I see it, but I still think the Enzo rear makes the car look tall, as does the larger scoops.

And I also agree with Brian CS ... why the black painted front air inlets, body colour would look much better IMO.

    so....
will it have a name or a number? Monza? or 430 alone
cars named after numbers lack of personality...
isn't 430 a big departure from 360 (number wise speaking only)
    308,328,348,355,360....................
    the 3 series is gone.....

    Why?

I think the 250 GTO, LM, TR and 8c2900B Alfa Romeo, 1750, etc. all are great cars.

Infact if you did a top 10 cars of all time ... I think most would be 'just' numbers.

Once you start naming cars 'names' you have to worry about translations and other BS ... way too complicated. Like the Mitsi Pajero 4WD ... which translated to Mitsi Wanker 4WD ;) ... always find that amusing.

Not quite a departure from their numbering scheme if you realize they all have to do with their engine displacement. The 3er is gone because the engine diplacement now has gone up to 4.3L.

i'd like to see someone photoshop the front inlets to see how it would look painted the same color as the car.

There never was a 3 series ... BMW make a 3 series, Ferrari make a Dino series. The fact that from the 308 to the 360 started with the number 3 is simply a coincidence and as said before just related to the engine size.

Saying that I do feel there is now space for a smaller engined Ferrari ...

There is no "series" as some of you speak of.
The Dino was a V6, so that's to different to be compared to the others.

Er, the 246 Dino started the smaller Ferrari series. The next car was the 308 GT4 Dino ... and this model eventually had Ferrari badges added as the sales were poor.

Then Pininfarina created the 308 GTB on the same platform and the rest is history ... 328, 348, 355, 360, 430. The Mondial eventually replaced the 308 GT4 to provide a 2+2 smaller model.

Maybe not a series but definitely a lineage ... Have a look at this post: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=145449&postcount=6 which I quote from:

Definitely each following model REPLACED the preceeding ...

Gee and originally badged Dino GT4!!!! ... way cool.

You can just make out the Dino script on the boot lid (er, last photo solved that ;)). I really like those cars ... hopefully one day.

I see what your saying, but I was refering to the 2-seat V8 cars. Not the 2+2 and/or V6 cars.

Yep fair enough ... I guess we could say that Ferrari (since the Dino 206) has always had a smaller car and their bigger brother + a 2+2 model.

    Pete :)
