argh! I scrolled through quickly, didn't see it, guess Page 2 hadn't fully loaded. What do you think? They have so much 360 stuff strapped on there, it's hard to tell what will last to the final version (such as the roll bar stuff?)
hello, here some pictures that i made at the gala dinner... the pictures are now in bad quality because of the server here. they can't be bigger than 193 kb. in the next time i will update my homepage www.ferraridriver.de so you can download them in higher resolution... bye michael Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd like to see the dash centre in something other than carbon fibre. Looks real cheap to me. What is it with the use of carbon fibre for trim ... that is not what it is for ??? ... that is just as bad as the Honda Civic guys using a carbon fibre looking decal on their cars. Overall I like the car ... but there are still many details that appear awkward to me. Pete
You can compare the two cars from these two pictures. They are exactly the same size on the pictures. Didn't have the same color though Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. spider spy pic is real, I believe. I don't have any more. 2. I don't like the standard seats at all.
I think the carbon fiber looks nice, and it's real, not that fake crap the Honda kids use. But you can get silver (aluminum?) as well, which also looks great.
Yes and you are allowed to think it looks nice ... your opinion and all, but carbon fibre is supposed to be used for something that can take advantage of its great strength properties. A piece of fibre glass would do that dash job just as well ... thus it is bling bling and not functional. Is that what we really want Ferraris to be about? An F40 on the other hand shows carbon fibre inside, simply because the chassis is reinforced by carbon fibre and kevlar ... and there is no trim. IMO it looks tacky ... real or not, as not needed. Pete
Very good point. People jump all over the asthetics of the car's features without thinking of functionality. For instance, the larger duct on the front fender is needed to extract more hot air from the radiator, since the larger engine has a greater cooling requirement. However, I must say the lower duct in front of the rear wheel doesn't look like it belongs. The indent leading up to it, the shape, are both straight off the Murcielago. Imitation may be the most sincere form of flattery, but surely Ferrari can come up with something origional. PS, I'd take a Gallardo over a 360, and a 360 over a 430.
Absolutely correct, the carbon parts look attached, not as being a part of the whole car like in the CS or the Enzo (what they can't look like because they ARE attached ). Moreover they will cost a fortune...
Well remember the carbon fiber is a option, you can get silver (aluminum?) as well if you prefer that.
Hey guys, great pics of the new car. Awsome rims, great use of carbon fiber love the new ground effects on the rear of the car. I'm glad I'm on the "LIST" for whatever that means. Look out Gallardo!
....uh, still has a V8 (and a Maserati engine at that), and definately looks like a 360 with a 'ricer' body kit...
Dude, do you know anything about Ferraris? What else besides a V8 did you expect? And the Maserati engine you refered to was MADE by Ferrari, and the engine in the F430 is like 75% updated or new....IMO the body updates look great, nice and aggressive.
Sorry, but the 430's interior looks just as awkward to me as the exterior! I'm not liking the gratuitous use of carbon fiber -- I agree with PSk that it cheapens the car. Plus I think those seats look awful, especially in that color. And the huge 430 plaque on the dashboard looks cheesy to me. I think the only aesthetic features I really like, without having seen it in the flesh yet, are the wheels!
A little P-biased here I think..... But I won't even comment on the new 997, it would fill a page....
I think you can't say this is Lambo look and that is a Ferrari look. Nearly all design elements have been used somewhere. It's the whole thing that counts.
I agree with your point. But some guys like to fight about who's better (ferrari vs lambo) so I will tease them with this photo on another thread. The reason I posted on this thread was... I just thought the two photos looked cool in a side-by-side shot.
Hey you can always upload them on www.ferrarirosso.com. NO file size limit, registration is free. Those great pics have to be seen in high res!
Yes, they look cool side-by-side... but twins?!?!? The wheels maybe... with one exception, the lines, the shapes, the look... all dramatically different.
