How did I miss this very cool thread? Any pictures of the project so far? Dismantling, fabrication? Good luck with the project Morten.

Rock on! Did you ever meet Tina and her husband in Denmark, they are big Fcar fans.. Hi Simon! Cheers to you and the postman!
There's a good thread here where some Summit Racing 5.0 liter Mustang mounts were lightly modified to cradle our beloved 3.0 liter engines, they were billet aluminum with a rubber isolating layer.......just needed to slot machine mounting holes and retap center to our metric bolts.. easy!!
Yes sir, Urethane motor mounts,,,, that was Sean Dynes idea. Here is the thread title. "New urethane motor mounts are in . . . how were the spacers? " You can get-em from Summit Racing
Guys, thanks, will investigate the mountings - trouble is that building a car according to the FIA rules for historic rally, I might not be allowed to fit a Mustang part in the project - that's one of the many things in the grey zone of the this project. Nop, I don't know Tina and her husband.
I rally group B rally cars in Europe, last year i had a ex works Metro 6R4 ,this year a ex works Ford RS200, nobody else runs a group B Ferrari, i cannot afford the real one so i decided to biuld one. I will post some pictures when i work out how to post them Jim
Great Jim, I will be present in Belgium and support you I suppose you will take part in the national categories of european historic rallyes in Europe, because FIA has not yet opened up for historic championships other than until 1981. Meaning homologation cars from group 1 to 5.
Ferraripete, YES wheels are stunning - actually, I have to admit that I have one in our bedroom and one in our living room Attached a little teaser about the project. Image Unavailable, Please Login

After Christmas we will start the complete dismantling of the car: - Everything superfluos will be removed, scrapped or sold - The US-frame will be changed back to the EU-frame - All modifications and strengthening will be performed - The roll cage will be fitted as a welded version - The body will be modified with wide wheel arches and single wiper - Brakes, suspension, mountings will be dry-fitted - Frame and parts will be cleaned and painted - Interior and frame will be aluminium grey - Wishbones etc. will be anodised black - Body will be white A lot of fun A few questions: - Is it normal that fibre glass cars have alloy compartement lid ? - Can someone giver exact directions on the US to EU differences on the frame ? - Any ideas for the single wiper design ? - Has anyone converted the US-double distributor into the EU-single distributor ? Merry Christmas
