i don't love it :( but then again, i'm just not a fan of "angular" (especially as i get older) ... overly-angular designs tend to look dated to me, pretty quickly. Also don't love the huge "flying buttresses" in the rear :(

Don't necessarily hate a turbo V6 ... gotta withhold judgement until i feel the torque curve, and of course hear it in anger ;)

I hope they gear it more intelligently than the last generation ...

(btw, i'm a HUGE Ford fan)

I believe their plan is to race it at LeMans next year, which would play a huge part in it being a V6 rather than a V8

I haven't seen anything about limited production to 300.

McLaren can do a CF tub for $200K, so I'm sure Ford can do a full CF car for similar or less. My guess is this car is $200-300K.

Looks great! The rear will take some getting used to but this was a huge surprise to wake up to this morning.

Have to say... bring on the Zora, GM!

Exactly - they built over 4000 GTs last decade, I wouldn't imagine they'll do that many this time, but 300 sounds a bit light. I'm sure that will factor into the car's price tag as well.

Ford GT forum inside guy are saying 300- 400 per year for 4 or 5 years. Probably build them as they get a retail order instead of having them sit on a lot.

400K price point. I'm just glad its so different than the 05 GT, gives me a reason to own another one!

Too bad Luke isn't here to say what a POS it is compared to his Superperformance REAL Ford G, and how its a cruiser car meant for old guys with Sinatra blaring lol!

Thought that, too. Would be great to see them duke it out on track! Though I would consider Jim to be closer to Jim Hall with 003, than, say, Enzo.

I like that they did a new design. And that it's got the profile of the original from the side. But I'm not sold yet. The rear arch/ vent reminds me of the Aventador ornew NSX.
As for the engine, I'm sure they want to race with it and therefore use the new technology, but the GT350 motor would have been awesome. Or a twin turbo Eco boost Coyote.

    Won't sell well if it's $400-500K IMO.

interior is even worse, in my view ... the dash, the display "rectangle" ... just not working for me

I'm gonna be in the very small minority that actually prefers the NSX ... inside and out!

Ford GT with a twin turbo V6....when they have a flat plane crank V8 in the shop is a mistake. The V8 architecture is a an undeniable part of this car's history.

What wins races now is a bit different than what used to win races. Looking forward to seeing this car on track.

They're saving the flat plane V8 for the Heritage editions! LOL If I had the means, I'd love to put all three Fomoco debuts in my garage: GT350R, new SVT Raptor and the new GT.

I owned a 2005 Ford GT that I sold last year. I am glad I did!

I did not think They could recapture the excitement with a new car. Boy was I wrong.

It is really a modern update of the GT. I wish it had a manual but that is a sign of the times. It is done for gas mileage the twin turbo V6 is the same reason.

Someone on this forum said the price was $800K. I seriously doubt that.

I bought my 2005 Ford GT for $179K The dealership was asking $250K

When they appear at the dealerships I will look at them and then decide whether to buy one or not. It also depends on the price.

I just bought a C7 Corvette While it is not as stunning as the new FGT it still is attractive and most importantly it drives better than any other car that I own.

Congratulations to the ford engineers and designers for a 'job well done"

    Best

    Lee
