Paul Fisher of Fisher Model and Pattern is working again on one of the 1/24th scale Ferrari race cars he had on his "future release list". We hope to see it in production soon........You can see the pattern for the model a few pages back. I hope it sells very well as so many race cars from that era still need to be done in a large scale.
FPM 166MM 1949 road version and 246SP 1961 Lemans both in 1/24th scale. Very nice quality castings. Fernando really has a good eye for the shape of the cars. I love his Porsche 804 F1 kit in 1/24th not 1/20th. Every scoop and rivet is on the body casting is perfectly replicated. Companies like Studio 27 miss alot of details in their rush to throw things in production. FPM also has great assembled hand laced wire wheels/tires included in all the Ferrari kits. Hey guys... I have two questions in regards to resin kits. I have a few kits that I would like to begin building and I never assembled one before, so what type of glue do you use that is compatible and would I need to primer the body before I apply the paint? Thx Rob
Definitely primer before applying paint. First you might even wash the body and use like 6,000 sand paper. As for glue: Epoxy for big parts and cyano (super glue) for small stuff.
If you really want to do it right see if you can find a copy of "The World of 1/43" by John Simon. Very thin magazine format publication but excellent info on building kits. A copy recently sold on Ebay for $2.00.

Thanks... I'll look on eBay for a copy. Since I paid a lot for my 1:18 risen 512bbi kits yes, I want to do it right.
for beginner build, take a read through Alex's tutorials, that will help you in your build ....there is another thread here (this one for new kit release news) for WIP and questions, good luck Tutorial Section

Coming soon from Model Factory Hiro, the AC Cobra 1964 Lemans DNF special body in the 1/24th scale curbside range. This would be the first time this car has been done correctly in 1/24th scale. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi! As I know, the first relaise from AC98 Coupe which is done correctly is from Fein Design Modell. The Kit is released in 2013 as a high class 1/24 Slotkit. http://www.fein-design-modell.de/assets/images/AC_A98_Infoblatt.jpg A great coincidence, it also appears by Hiro ;-) Regards Tom
I stand corrected. I forgot about Fein Design. If you hear about anything new from the slotcar model kit world please post here. I think the Hiro curbside might actually be cheaper. I should have known Hiro did not think of this on their own.....
I have the Fein Design kit of the A98. Its incredible. Of course its set up for a slot car but making a chassis is the easier part. I also have the Sunoco Lola and its also a beauty. Karl-Heinz is really talented.

Most likely Ferrari lawyers (piranha) have gotten at MFH now, have announced stopping all vintage & race Ferrari kit sales MFH » Model Factory Hiro
Sad. Probably protecting Mattel. But pathetic since nobody else is offering these kits. 1/12 scale manufacturers next?
likely ....there are some tactics to avoid issues, like selling off a pre-made set number lot of kits, MFH is more visible with their website too
good question, if they target him specifically, then yes, but otherwise if the vendor, they might simply have to stop selling his material
