    The Novitec springs work with the factory shocks and you can lower the car from factory height to 40mm lower. I believe I have a set here ready to ship.

    Jason, how much stiffer are the Novitec springs compared to the OEMs?

    I don't want to radically change the ride of my car but would like to lower it to give the car a more poised look. And what height setting would you use for urban driving with its share of speed bumps and the odd pothole?

    Here are two responses to the ride question from customers that have installed Novitec springs;

    KingMonkey's 458 Spider:

    "It rides,Planted,Connected no counter roll and comfort of the ride is still there..."

    Another customer of ours with a California with Novitec springs:

    "The ride quality is still great. We did have to adjust the ride height afterwards to give it an equal looking drop. Overall it was a good buy."

    Regarding ride height, people usually do a 30mm drop which is about 1-1/8" lower than stock. You will have some things you will hit more than you did before so some customers upgrade to the hydraulic front suspension from Novitec so you can raise the front height 40mm to clear speed bumps and driveways. If you opt not to do that I don't think you will have any real issues. We have sold a ton of these springs and only some customers that have done the front lip spoilers have a clearance issue.

    Thanks Jason, I was guessing a 30mm drop would be the limit for me. My car is actually due to arrive sometime next month so I'll look into how much I want to lower it by after I have a chance to break her in. I don't plan on adding anything extra to the front lip.

    My car will also have the magnetic dampers. Are the F5 888 03 springs priced the same as the F5 888 05 for the standard dampers?

    BTW, the second customer comment you posted seems to imply the customer had to level the rear to the front after the springs were added. Did he not have all four corners swapped at the same time or was it because of additional effects of sidewall height differences between the F/R tires?

    On the topic of tires, I was also intrigued by the NFS wheels and tires you have on offer in the other thread. I'll post another question there.

    Basically once you put the springs in then the installer can put the height at any height that is desired from stock height to 40mm lower. So I think what happened is that the installer put the springs in and didn't set it up where the customer wanted so there was some additional adjustment that he had done.

    F5 888 01 and F5 888 03 are the hydraulic front lift system with springs. If you want just the springs it is part F5 888 05 with will work with or without magnetic dampers. I currently have a set in stock and ready to ship to you.

    Thanks for your clarifications Jason. As I wrote earlier, I'll have to spend a bit of time with my new car before I decide on upgrades. I am quite impressed by the broad offerings from Novitec so I suspect there will be some sort of a shopping list once I figure out what I should really upgrade!
