What gives me pause is that it is such a big jump in a short period of time.

Dino V6 jumped from 100 to 300 k in six months: why cannot a 308 jump from 50 to 150 in one year? This car is getting classic and no more just old.

I didn't remember Dino's moving up that fast.

Why are we so surprised at the price jump?? The 308 is one of the most, if not the most beautiful Ferraris ever made. The lines are perfect and looks like it's in motion even when standing still. Look at that cockpit. The levers and switches are so cool and retro. It really sets it apart from anything made post 1985.
I think this car finally came into its own and people are starting to pay attention to them. And this coming from a guy who also owns an F430 Spider.
People who are sitting back watching this all unfold are going to miss the boat particularly if you are looking for an investment grade Fcar. All others made previous have skyrocketed in value.
Lets revisit my post 365 days from now and see if this holds true.

I'll man up and be totally honest the real reason I'm getting irked about the prices is because I want to buy one!

However getting back to dealers everytime Forza gets a 308 it is generally gone within a week the QV's that F.O.N.E. have aren't moving I would say this is due to price.

Maybe one year, but it was quick.

I consider the 208-308-328 as one of the best looking Ferrari ever and some models like the 208 GTB-GTS turbo, a serious contender for the first place.

I missed the boat already once last year when I started looking for one and I never pulled the trigger. A year later and at least 40% inflation in prices, I finally purchased one. I love and I appreciate these cars for their timeless design and their beautiful lines. And this is coming from a guy who also owns a Scuderia.

10 mm armored glass...I wonder if that was a factory option :) A real challenge for the tired electrical windows!

So what does 10 mm thickness exactly stop ? Rounds from an airgun, or stones from a catapult ? Stiletto heels from a mistreated secret mistress ?? :)

Here in Italy the seventies were years full of kidnapping, murders, terrorism and so on. So it was easy in those years selling something that gave more safety to a very rich house builder like the owner was. I agree, It was just a very stupid way to add 100 lbs to the weight and compromise the car possibility to be restored to its originality.

I very nearly bought that car two years ago when it was listed for about €50K as I recall. At the time I thought it was too much and I was really looking for a VR...oh my, was I a bit too frugal. Nice car.

This car has been for sale for years and years.
First for 39K, then suddenly for 49K (same car, only a year more problems because of not being used) and now to 135K.
The seller dit not answer emails or telefphone calls when I contacted them 2 years ago.

This is a car that will need work. The pictures are probably 4-5 years old.
