That is such a great photo. I love the fact that this Daytona is parked in front of a nice, humble home; not in front of some mega mansion. Very, very cool IMHO. Any idea what part of the world this is from? Looks like it could be right here in Birmingham, Royal Oak or perhaps Ferndale, Michigan. Canada?
Honestly I couldn't tell you. It's just a pic I found during one of my internet wanderings. It does remind me of a time when spotting a Ferrari was an event. However, when I look at the old snaps, the cars seem to blend in with the surroundings. They seem more discreet. Today, Ferraris seem to stand out more in the crowd. Does that make sense?
Yes, that makes total sense. I just love how the old V 12 cars (35+ years) were owned by people of more 'modest' means; where you could pick up a Daytona in the early to mid 1980's for less than $50k. I did see a bunch around here in metro Detroit during those days.......
