Interior is way too much. I can't figure out what color that is. First thought was purple = Vinaccia but I think it's too light.

Does anyone know how many manual SA Aperta's were produced, and have any pictures of a manual car? Thanks.
I always thought the SA Aperta was based on the GTO, therefore no manual were offered. Could be wrong, but I dont think I've ever seen a picture of one yet.
I've heard that there are a handful of manual cars. The Aperta was to my knowledge not based on the GTO - rather the HGTE with modifications. Common misconception.
Never heard on a Manual SA. I also think unlikely, [ but you never know with Ferrari] ! It has a GTO engine, so i would say it was based on a 599 and made into a SA Aperta.
It does have GTO spec engine, but I'm pretty sure the SA Aperta is not a simply GTO without a roof. I believe (as I posted) that it is a modified HGTE (so yes it has the GTO engine but I don't believe it has retains chassis setup etc.) Thing is, I recall someone posting on this forum that a friend had bought a manual SA Aperta from somewhere. I think it was stated that there were around 3 manual Aperta's worldwide.
Wow those GTO wheels really complete the look, now he just needs to do something about the front plate...
I think the entire powertrain is GTO, including crankshaft and diff. I also think that the wheel set ups--struts, springs, etc is GTO. The Glass is thinner than the 599 and is the lighter GTO glass. It is missing the ridge down the centerline of the bonnet/hood, but otherwise it has a lot of GTO setup, including chips and software. As far as I know, there were no manual Apertas, but I understand this only from reading about them and the salesmen at the Ferrari dealership on Park Avenue in NYC.
The people in that store care more about selling Ferrari jewelry and overpriced boutique items than they know about cars...
I disagree. I know two people who have purchased cars there. I was with one guy while he spec-ed out his California there. We spent a couple of hours there and the salesman was very informed and informative.
Yes that's his car: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152419805309654&set=pb.502954653.-2207520000.1403518354.&type=3&theater
I don't think its GTO suspension, If Harry Metcalfe is to be believed. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCPk3oRdUV4]Ferrari 599 SA Aperta - Harry Metcalfe's evo video diary - YouTube[/ame]
All the factory literature says it is an HGTE chassis with a GTO drivetrain. Wheels and tires are HGTE size.
Thanks Taz. That is what I thought. In layman's terms a GTO engine put into an HGTE with the roof stripped? Would you happen to know anything about the supposed manual SA Aperta(s)?
