Should've got some drifting tips from that young chap in the Skyline from SA. He WAS good. Looking at the skid marks and damage I suspect speed was envolved. Bit silly in such built up area IMO.
Well why not say then.. no-one knows the driver? Either it was some incredible bad luck and not their fault and then avoid roasting here with mistaken assumptions.. or it really *is* as bad as first looks with long skid marks in urban setting and they *do* deserve a mega roasting then. Imagine if you were getting into your car parked by the roadside and got nailed like that? or kids involved.. hope they throw book at them if called for. Do it on country roads far away from others... or the track ideally..
know it well. Grew up around there. As a foolish 18year old used it a drag strip regularly. There are so many traffic islands on that road now, that I'm surprised he could get up to any reasonable speed
surely driving it off the cliff got it up to 200kph for a man with such good taste in Ferraris you made a terrible choice in the Stag
It was a hand me down, so I'll let my dad know your thoughts. I have made much poorer choices including ALFA 33 and more recently MGZT
Lucas, the prince of darkness?? This particular model was designed by BMW and started off with some promise but developed an electrical gremlin which showed a half tank of petrol when in fact it was empty. I ran out of gas on the way home from work one day in the airport tunnel. Got rid of it that weekend
True but it was only what I was told and its 2nd hand conversation. It "appears" as if the driver was speeding and there is a slight curve in the road before the T intersection, braked hard and lost control And yeah my wife and kids just walked past that street about an hour before the accident so you have a point there
Thats the other side of Hawthorne pde which is where the park is.This side is quite wide and you can easily pick up speed there
Interesting, the driver of the 308 was almost completely sideways when the PSF front hit the Magna. (Have a look at how close the front and rear tyre marks are). I wonder how old the tyres were? You have to get some serious speed up to get that out of shape if the car is set up 100% : )
Just heard from a reliable source that the 308 is a total loss. Bent chassis from front to rear. It will be up for auction at Pickles soon. Apparently it was in pristine condition and the owner said he wasn't speeding. Of course he wasn't
