If I am correct, n°47 is OSCA #1178 with Hal Stetson/Harry Beck/Otto Linton at Sebring 12 hours 1958. N°60 is OSCA #760 with Alejandro De Tomaso/Isabelle Haskell/Robert Ferguson. Here is another photo with n°47 during the race. Thank you for those nice photos. Maybe you have some more? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am quite certain that the blue car (no.162) was later owned by Paul Kunckel from the UK. Ciao! Walter
as a LONG time fan of F-car Barchetta and OTHERS of that era, and Maser racing roadsters, and Siata 208S, and ..... I think you get the picture, these OSCA's are at or near the top of the list of that era in terms of BEAUTY!!!
I have a photo of Otto Lintons 208 Siata but can't up load it as I am at my limit. I guess I better pay the $$ and join.
Thank you, this is a very important picture! OSCA 1163 was supposed to have run in the 1955 MM with a much more streamlined body, it was later said to have been rebodied (by the factory) and sold to SWeden. This is the first picture i see of it. Very interesting. Certainly not the 55 MM body. rgds Elad
The blue car in the first picture is this one: http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z14086/Osca-MT4.aspx Owned by a mid-west collector who drives it hard and enjoys it elad Image Unavailable, Please Login
my mistake here.. this is Olle Leufven who had the other 1500 TN in Sweden.. This is Stirling Moss car today . chassis number.. 1191
this is jon fast with 1163 at his first race in the UK at Prescott May 5th 1957, car #69 Followed by the same car 56 MM #436 car was actually originally chassis No 1174 as one of the OSCA factory team cars in 1956. It was renumbered to its present No 1163 when delivered to Fast in March 1957, (the reason being that he quickly needed Italian road-registration documents), totally rebuilt and equipped according to 1957 international regulations, and nicely painted in Swedeish blue-yellow colours. HI i doubt that this car is the present Moss car. Sterling's car is a 372FS not a tn as in the picture. Totally different design. elad
I got some more photos of Lintons OSCA's and some specials with OSCA motors. I will post them later this week.
