Clearly Food and Gas are the 2 main mundane occupations of F drivers..car sucks [gasoline,,a lot] and crew swallows food when driving a lot. Still Italian mundane food stops are more upmarket than in the rest of the world, except for the French boulangeries... and in the Not mundane world, my boat is bigger than yours...just think a minute that the barge would sink,,or hit the bridge, the clearance between the bridge and the metal pole on the right hand side of the picture, which is used to hold the barge fixed if needed, was under 10 inches....and we were going full speed,,,unfortunately for those who were not there, this will never be repeated, including because all trafic on the Gran Canal was stopped for a whole afternoon! Speaking of stopping traffic, here is another good one. One Sunday morning last October, as I rounded the bend at the Yerba Buena Island on-ramp, to merge onto the eastbound direction of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, the CHiPs had blocked all five lanes at the mouth of the tunnel immediately to the west of that on-ramp, to clear up a car crash. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop and take a couple pictures about halfway across the eastern span. But I was very nervous that the CHiPs might release the five lanes of very aggravated drivers and a thundering herd could be coming at me at any second. So I did not dawdle. These are some of my photos. It's wonderful to see owners actually driving and enjoying them on the streets. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
