That is a very nice watch.

I found this review write-up about it.
Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Acciaio PAM 524 Watch Hands-On | aBlogtoWatch

The review explains the Flyback feature as:

Also, the some of the interesting features are:
    - the 44mm 1950 Luminor case.
    - the bright blue second hand.
    - the minute markers on the face (for the stopwatch functionality).
    - the ecru color of the markings on the watch face.

    That is a beauty.

Thanks Ron. Definitely prettier than most Panerais. My favorite aspect is the case back...

What are the length of the straps? I have a friend who may be interested but is concerned about the size of his wrist being too large. I know Panerai is generally a large watch so the logical assumption would be that the straps are similarly sized. Any input?

They're all factory Panerai straps so 115mm. Also it's a tang buckle so I'd imagine if he has giant wrists he probably has giant hands to match so it'll be a little easier to get on. I've yet to meet someone that I didn't think a Panerai would fit. My wrist measures roughly 7" and a 44mm Panerai is pretty big, easy to read but definitely big.
